Catie is a mom of two very active toddlers and a very active infant boy. She lives her vocation daily by also tending to the families three horses, two dogs, an orange tabby cat, and a guinea pig. A December 2007 graduate of Virginia Tech, Catie strives each day to do something good for God.

Three days ago I was diagnosed with post partum depression (PPD). I was prescribed medication because PPD is an actual medical diagnosis that requires treatment. Part of that treatment includes getting counseling. What I was completely unaware of, was just how long depression and anxiety were controlling my life, my words, and my actions.

When we had our first daughter, I used to think that no ones hair could ever be as beautiful as her golden locks. So silky and soft and it shone so beautifully! Our second daughter was born, and her hair grew into golden strawberry colored curls! Not more beautiful than her sisters of course! But each held their own beauty!
