I have post partum depression. And that's ok.

Recently I've had a lot going on spiritually. But if I'm honest, most of what has been spoken in my prayer has not come about in the physical. There have been little things - smelling flowers or roses or sweet things as I put my kids to bed or say night prayers with them. Hearing little guidances as I go about my day. But as a friend pointed out, these blessings are only being recognized because I am open to them. How many things have you missed out on because you were unable or unwilling to hear or experience them?
I would encourage you to participate in Stations of the Cross this Lenten Season. Frequent Confession and Mass do more for us and for the world than we can possibly grasp here on earth. Pray for God's Will in your life. This was a game changer for me! One of my favorite Novena's is the Mary Undoer of Knots Novena. See, Mary was given to us by Christ when He was dying on the cross. We can never love or honor her more than He did! Asking Our Mother to pray with and for us is as natural as asking a friend to pray with and for us for an intention. Also, in experiencing the sacraments and praying daily, we open ourselves to the voice of God and His experiences. How many times do we say the name of Jesus in a rosary? At least fifty-three, because that is how many Hail Mary's there are in a 5 decade rosary. We reference God's Will at least 6 times when we pray the Our Father. The Rosary and Mary are not powerful because we are worshiping Mary, but because we are recognizing her position as Our Mother through the Will of God! If a rosary seems too daunting, simply repeat the name of Jesus. He will come to your aide!
Building up your prayer life takes grace and patience. Trusting God to reach into your life takes Faith. No matter who you are, or where you're at in your journey, you can be open to the Voice and The Will of God!
There is Power in the Name of Jesus!
Mary, Our Mother, pray for us!
