Mom led prayer

It's been a while since I've written something. I haven't taken the time to prayerfully consider anything to write. So here I am, thinking about what I should write about. It occurs to me however, it's not what I should write- it's what God needs me to write so someone else reads it at the exact time they need to read it. What I'm doing in the middle of the night tonight could be exactly what someone needs to read on a lunch break four months from now.
We all have those events in our lives that make us think about how we got to be where we are today; that stop sign or that green light or even the day you turned right instead of left. If we allow these every day decisions to be led by God we end up where He wants us to be. If we are blaming God for where we are- or aren't- but we haven't listened to what He is saying then we are placing the blame somewhere it should not be.
In "Back To The Future" Marty goes both backwards and forwards in time depending on which movie you are watching. Little decisions in the past often show a huge change in the future. (Spoiler alert!) A small action like Marty's dad standing up to Biff changes the whole family and their situation in life! While movies aren't always factual, this concept of decisions in the past having a great affect on our future is something to consider.
What are you doing today that will get you where God needs you in four months? In a year? Maybe you're going to school so one day you can find a cure for AIDS. Maybe you're working at a warehouse so one day you can run the company and have a positive impact on your community. You could have just quit your job so you can raise your children or something so simple as turning left when you could've gone straight. Whatever it is, listen to God. Even if it's just for today, listen to what He has to say.
Lord, may you lead and guide us always in Your paths. Amen.
