Remembering Nauman Masih, 14; Killed for being Christian
By Larry Peterson
Beginning at sunset on April 15 and ending the following evening, Jews around the world observed Yom HaShoah aka Holocaust Remembrance Day . It may be time to change the name to simply, "Holocaust Day" because the genocidal onslaught continues with no end in sight. On Friday, April 10, 14 year old, Nauman Masih was walking home in Pakistan when he was stopped by some young men.

Morale Without Morals?
By Shawn Roche
For any young man, whether he be in the military or one of the civilians, it is hard to go anywhere in Western society without having disrobed flesh shoved in his face. Since the seventies, especially, porn has become so engrained into American society. To the secular mind, the bachelor’s party before his wedding day “must” require a stripper.

Time to "Slap Back" at the Self-Serving Intolerance of the Anti-Catholic/Christian
By Larry Peterson
When I began to contemplate the Cross on Good Friday and Who was nailed to it, I found myself disgusted. I am still disgusted. I am disgusted and fed up with the approximately 2% of the population who are gay and are screaming at the “intolerance” of the Catholic/Christian community which comprises 80% of the American population.

Seeking the Faith of a Child
By Amanda Knapp
I remember being in Catholic school as a child and hearing constantly about how everyone is supposed to strive for the faith of a child. It made me feel special at the time. I was child, and something in me was so magnificent that even grown ups strived for it. I always liked hearing those things. About how Jesus would call the children to Him, how children were special to Him.

You Want Me to Do What?
By Elizabeth Thomas
Look Lord, my life is already too much to handle, you know I am crying for no reason out of the blue it seems--and You want me to write a book!! "Well, for just those reasons, write a book!"

Should Your Candle Get Extinguished Keep Following His Light
By Tara K. E. Brelinsky
Passing through the narthex doors, the balance of my kids' excitement meter tipped far right as they spied the ushers with those thin, white, paper-circle sheathed candles in hand.

The Most Important Thing
By Lisa Ponchak
Recently I had a conversation with a dear friend of mine. She is a Protestant and she has been burned by most of the churches she has been involved with. She and her husband have encountered numerous people in the Church that have been anything but loving; people that have been caught up in a power trip and their own agendas.

AH, the Value of a Letter!
By Elizabeth Thomas
Ah, the value of a letter! No, not the A to Z alphabet letters—even though they are extremely valuable too! For without them there would be the letter. That HANDWRITTEN, folded and sealed in an addressed, stamped envelope—and delivered to your door---left in your mailbox letter. Ah the value of that letter.

Post Lent
By Catherine Garrett
As Holy Week progresses I find myself wondering how I will continue to grow in my relationship with Christ. I keep thinking of all the things I had wanted to do during Lent and how many of those things didn't happen on a regular basis. I did read my Bible, but not every night. I did say a rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet, but not every day.

Maccabees Mama
By Mary Ann Gambill
Sick kids make people squirm. It's just a basic truth. We don't want to think about children in pain or dying or being alone or scared. It goes against nature. Those commercials that show starving children are very effective for a reason. Please, sponsor this child for 2 cents a day and we don't ever have to feel guilty or think about this atrocity again as we sip your $4 coffee.

Women At Prayer
By Ebeth Weidner
One day several years ago, after listening to my husband complain yet again about his job, I began an innocent and unobtrusive prayer campaign for his fulfillment as the breadwinner of the family. The Irish Catholic that I am, I wrote on a note card, "Dear Jesus, please help Doug find fulfillment in his career." and stuck it in my Bible.

Conflicting Voices: Why Parents Choose Not to Bring Their Children to Mass
By Melanie R. Cameron
This great, yet heartbreaking article struck a chord... Parents not taking their kids to Mass? I'm being honest here, I know a few. Not pointing fingers! In fact, I'm the first to stand up and say, please, Lord, please, give us some consistent voices.

A Quick Reflection on St. Joseph and Family Life
By Tommy Raines
The Holy Family has always been a source of inspiration to me. St. Joseph is my guide and role model. I am in constant awe of my blessings, especially my family. Like most families, we seem to get caught up in the routines of life work schedules, school activities, homework, baths, prayers and bedtime, day in and day out.

Confronting Porn
By Anthony Gockowski
In the past few months, there has been a curious revival of talking the “porn-myth” in certain secular circles. Russell Brand, a greasy image of compulsive sexual addiction, openly launched a crusade on porn. College campuses across the nation are campaigning for consent. Porn stars are dropping left and right and returning to their faith.

Memories of First Communion, Sister Mary Claudia, and Catholic School.
By Mallory Hoffman
Our preparation for First Communion began and ended in 2nd grade. We studied. We recited. We learned, and Sister Mary Claudia guided us along the way. She drilled us during religion class about what we were supposed to say in the confessional. Finally, the week came for our First Communion and our First Confession. Before we could receive Jesus, we had to go to confession.

That Holy Mountain
By Michael Adsit
One afternoon, I was scrolling down the news feed of my Facebook account and came across an individual begging people to pray for a friend of hers, who had hours to live. Without hesitation, I lifted my hands up to God and asked Him to do His will and to bring peace and comfort to those surrounding her at that time. She died an hour later.

Basketball Lessons
By John Paul Bender
I love basketball. I love playing basketball, watching basketball, reading and talking about basketball. I am obviously obsessed with basketball. Naturally I wanted to get into coaching and was blessed with the opportunity to coach a young men's high school basketball team this year in a CYM league.
