Heal our Hurts Oh Lord, Have Mercy On Us.
By Elizabeth Thomas
Today is the feast of Divine Mercy, celebrating the love and goodness of an Awesome God that sent us His Son and gave us eternal life because of the great sacrifice of love that Jesus gave to us. Lord have mercy on us and My Jesus I trust in You, are two simple little prayers that can be whispered almost every second of the day as we go through our lives

Ignatius of Antioch and the Way of the Cross...
By Carlos Espinosa
It is one thing to say you are willing to die for your beliefs but it's another to actually do it. As far as I'm concerned, that's the true measure of a man; having the faith and fortitude to stand up for one's beliefs, even at the risk of certain peril.

Easy to forgive?
By Kathy Lamb
This happened on the coldest days last of the year. When I came home from morning Mass our neighbor Benny met me at the car. He’s a young man around 20 years old but he’s already been in and out of jail a few times for things as minor drinking or driving with a suspended license. His mother doesn’t always bail him out so he’s spent weeks at a time in jail.

Rainbow of a Life
By Grace Waters
White. A grey head bobs up and down under the gentle fall of snow. An old woman, burdened under a load of groceries from the corner store, makes her way home. Blank faces busied with their own lives ignore the passing figure. She reflects on her humble Cavalry; she is dying

Coloring, Catholicism, Van Gogh and Chagall's White Crucifixion
By Pam Spano
After a trip to The Art Institute here in Chicago to see the the exhibit, Van Gogh’s Bedrooms, I’ve become interested in the paintings of Van Gogh and the museum itself. I’ve also become a big fan of adult coloring books and I was able to purchase a Van Gogh coloring book in one of the museum gift shops.

Living the Year of Mercy
By Danielle Castellucci
Pope Francis has declared December 8, 2015-November 20, 2016 the Year of Mercy. For me, mercy brings to mind forgiveness. God’s repeated and inexhaustible forgiveness is perhaps one of the greatest mercies He affords us. That even though sinners, we are not only forgiven, but saved by His Son.

By His Wounds We Are Healed: Honoring the Five Sacred Wounds of Jesus
By Bobbie Ann Taylor
One of the blessings of sharing on Catholic365 is that as I research to verify what I “know,” I learn additional things that I didn’t know! …And that is precisely what happened as I prepared for this article about devotion to the Five Sacred Wounds of Jesus.

Every parent wants what is best for their child. As a Catholic parent, that would include giving your child the best education and doing everything possible to ensure that they love Christ, the Church, and know the basic teachings. But there is a sad reality in the Catholic world.

The Stations of the Cross: Reflections 2
By Mike Bugal
The Stations of the Cross are a great mediation upon the provision and price God paid for our salvation and to restore the fellowship lost in Eden. I think they should be a regular contemplation not only during Lent but year around if only in our private devotions.

Betray Jesus? NO-Never!!
By Elizabeth Thomas
Last night I had a flare up with my husband, over a long running issue of him pointing out ‘what I forget to do’ while I go behind him and undo what he has left undone and I don’t say anything. (It is not use, habits are hard to change.)

The Presence of God
By Kathy Lamb
The presence of God in our lives embraces us. God’s presence is a dynamic power and should be overwhelming. Intimacy with God yields unimaginable joy. So beautiful. So sweet. Is it easy to be distracted from God? An outrageous concept but sadly it does happen. God does not force His presence on us.

By the time this article is published Easter will have come and gone. That also means, of course, that Good Friday with the final Lenten Stations of the Cross observances have also.

I found Jesus in the Eucharist during my recent visit to US. Thanks to my sister Maria and all my nieces and nephews with whom I shared a conversation on Confession. Thanks to my sister Janet, through whom I attended the daily Mass and visited the Blessed Sacrament on multiple occasions.

If we don't listen to Jesus we miss out on his plan for us.
By Kathy Lamb
Sometimes I admire the apostles and sometimes I feel sorry for them. I believe they understood how blessed they were to be with Jesus and how special they were to have been singled out by Jesus. It was probably not too hard for them to believe what Jesus told them. They didn’t yet have the gifts of the Holy Spirit but they had the gift of Jesus himself.
