The Parable of the Talents vs Faith alone
By De Maria
Throughout Scripture, we are told that God will save only those who do His will. Beginning in Eden, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and as a result were cast out of Paradise. All the way through to Revelations where Jesus Christ comes quickly to give his reward to all who do right in God's eyes. The Parable of the Talents is another case in point.

Why Are We All In Jeopardy Of Being Murdered Or Imprisoned Because Of Religion Or Legislation?
By Ralph Zuranski
Just because a person identifies themselves as Pro-life does not mean they are. The act of murdering anyone is a complete denial of what true Pro-life people profess.

The Sacrament of the Present Moment
By David Torkington
The Mass to inaugurate the Year of Divine Mercy had been prepared by the parishioners with the help of the curate and a group of the Sisters of Mercy. The readings, the psalms and the prayer had all been chosen to echo the overall theme of asking God to give his loving mercy to all those present and to the whole world that would be lost without it.

New Year's Resolutions
By Michelle Watkins
It’s that time of year again when many will make New Year’s resolution. The goals are usually notable: exercise more, spend less, eat healthy, etc. These are valid and noteworthy goals. Yet, we should remind ourselves that this is our temporary ‘home’ and our primary goal in life should be to reach heaven in the afterlife. Therefore, we shouldn’t forget resolutions for our walk in faith.

Prayer, Massacres, Gun Control, and the Elephant in the Room
By Richard Maffeo
Within a day or so of the massacre in San Bernadino, the New York Daily News ran a full page spread with the title: God Isn't Fixing This." Their point, as you read the article, is we need better gun control. I see it much differently.

The Jews were probably asking themselves, "What? Where?"
By De Maria
Many times I've heard people say that the Ancient Jews were so well versed in Scripture. Yet, without divine assistance, they could not recognize Jesus Christ in the Old Testament.

The Grand Illusionist
By Grace Waters
After a long day of cleaning my master’s house and waiting on his insufferable family, I found myself walking down an unfamiliar road. I did not recall this street in a town I had lived in my wh,ole life. I was about to retrace my steps when I heard a crooning voice entreat me

We are perishing. We’ve made it through the year 2015. But we are perishing. Every. Last. One. Of. Us. Good year or bad year for you, 2015 brought you closer to death. Perhaps this seems to overly gloomy and doomy for a Holiday post.

My company is going through a re-organization and those of us with more seniority are being thrown back together, since most of the folks with less seniority have lost their jobs. Those of us remaining have known each other for years and its nice to see old faces, again.

How Mother Teresa Taught Us What Being Pro-Life Means
By Justin McClain
On December 18, the Vatican announced that Mother Teresa would be declared a saint. This declaration came after the Holy Father Pope Francis, based on the findings of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, confirmed a second miracle attributed to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta’s intercession. This is, indeed, welcomed news in the midst of the already joyous Christmas season.

Why Does The Liberal Media Mock Tim Tebow And Chastity
By Ralph Zuranski
The media is at war with God and the individuals who honor Him with their lives. When Holiness is mocked by the media, they show their hatred for the values that will save their immortal souls. It is sad to think so many individuals will slide into Hell without even knowing why.

Scripture says, "All generations shall call me blessed!"
By De Maria
So, why don’t Protestants love Mary? Mary is the Mother of God and our Mother! Mary is the Mother of God, the Mother of Jesus, who is God. And Jesus gave her to us to be our mother. So, guess what, we treat her as our mother. We love her as our own mother. We do this in obedience to Christ and to the Word of God in Scripture.

The Virtue of Temperance
By Jonathan Hayes
Gluttony is one of the most common and dangerous sins in existence. It is a sin that is not taken seriously enough, if not ignored entirely. The overindulgence of food and drink is viewed more as a period of enjoyment then as an act of defiance.

What Did Mary Know?
By Karl Erickson
I have a confession to make this sparkling Advent Season: I have a soft spot for the popular Christmas song entitled Mary, Did You Know. There, it’s good to get that off my chest. Invariably this time of year, well-intentioned Catholics begin to attack this song as being anti-Catholic.
