Where is the line between mental illness and sin? We all know that the seven deadly sins can resemble a mental illness in the form of a fit or rage, addiction, and lack of self control. Then, how do we determine when one is going astray based on a mental diagnosis or is in pure sin? Sometimes there needs to be the darkest of night to see the light. And that light shines brighter than any other. The answer is, in the way we interpret the parables of the lost sheep, the prodigal son, and their relationship with Christ. How Christ always has mercy to save. I have battled manic-depression for twenty years and have only survived because of God's grace and accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. The labels don't matter anymore. There is only peace and validation in Christ. He is my firm founation.
