It's Always Day
By Mary Rivers
When morning light cracks the darkness of night; When birds begin to sing their songs of life; When morning star sheds its luminescence upon humanity; Yes, when Christ has risen from the dead.

Charity and Trust
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
The ancient Chinese had a quaint concept of hell as a banquet at which every reprobate soul had each hand glued to the end of a six-foot-long chopstick; the only way to eat was to feed each other, amidst mutual hatred. Hell is totally void of affirmation, since there's no altruism or love there, but only selfishness and hatred.

Living With Only a Thin Veil Between Earth and Heaven
By Melanie Jean Juneau
I tend to rush through my daily duties like a solitary soul, disconnected from God and other people. However, I became aware that humans are actually intimately connected not just to God and the living but also to those who have died and are alive in Christ after recent encounters with birth, death, and dying.

The Vastness of Space
By Ralph Hathaway
It was a cloudy yet warm afternoon as we sat along the shore of Lake Erie, and gazing toward the clouds drifting along my thoughts took me beyond and above the vast array of the unseen space of God’s Universe, immense and growing without human understanding. Knowledge of time and space are human recollections, yet with God these do not exist.

Diabetes–the top things you can do.
By Rose Cuervo
This is one of the things that goes with food. Particularly in countries with great cooking traditions, which I am inclined to think goes hand in hand with Catholic culture because of these reasons: first, people are typically fun-loving and fun to be with and savor plenty of festivities and family events to celebrate and secondly, they are not averse to layering/combining/enriching flavors.

"Recall Abortion" Book Review
By Julie
I just came across this book titled "Recall Abortion" by Janet Morana. I think it is important for us to read about abortion and how it is hurting women across USA.

Instability and Trust
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
I admire the unflinching courage of a blind person walking down the street with unseen dangers all around, from a steep curb to a child darting into his path. Real trust in God is often called blind trust, but what, precisely is blind trust?

What is in a word?
By Tony Jesse
When I was a kid I always used to like watching that cheesy yet insightful movie The Princess Bride. It's known as one of those films that have innovative and unique lines that make it a common "movie quote" film.

God Feels our Pain
By Ralph Hathaway
Pain can be detrimental to our very existence, making every waking moment a type of crisis, not allowing us to function in the least of activities. But physical pain is not the only segment of one’s deterring movements, it sometimes is mental, spiritual, or psychological as well.

Measuring Up
By Mariel Roersma
Today our family laid our oldest relative to rest. She went to the same Church for all 96 years of her very faith-filled life. What I want to remember about her was her faith. She had a deep love for God and for serving Him. The question is how to go about living up to that much faith?

Just do good and we'll find a meeting point
By De Maria
Have you read this in Scripture? Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

Discouragement and Trust
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
Recently I saw a furniture store that sold only unfinished furniture--at reduced prices, of course, since the customers had to stain and varnish the furniture themselves. All of the customers were aware that a task awaited them in order to make the furniture usable, or at least presentable. In the sight of God, we are all in some way unfinished furniture.

Infant Jesus of Prague is a well-known devotion, but I think many have forgotten it.

Questions Answered: Contraception
By Kevin Noles
Recently I was brought into a post on a friend’s Facebook where questions were being asked about why Catholics believe that contraception is against God’s will. Most Protestants believe that it is just fine to contracept and that this is between God and the couple.

Leisure versus Useless and Petty Amusements, Daniel 7 and Apocalypse 12
By Scott Pauline
The leopard, Greece, of Daniel 7, had four wings. Why not the four great elements of culture that elevated her above a brute earthly existence?

Silence: Apostacy, Jesuit Priests, 17th Century Japan
By Dr. Lin Weeks Wilder
Last December, the movie Silence opened to a conflicting maze of reviews. Some greatly praising the film and others exceedingly critical of the tale of the 'apostate Jesuit priests' of seventeenth century Japan. I watched it three days ago and am still pondering its meaning.

Gratitude and Trust
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
Most trail drovers of the Old West slept on open ground, amidst the cattle, but the chuck-wagon cook always slept on something soft under the protective cover of the chuck wagon itself. This was his traditional compensation for providing the cowhands with good chow. The drovers were typically grateful for the hot meals that he provided along their dusty trail.
