We're All In It.

Today our family laid our oldest relative to rest. She went to the same Church for all 96 years of her very faith-filled life. What I want to remember about her was her faith. She had a deep love for God and for serving Him. The question is how to go about living up to that much faith?
One way is prayer. I come from a long line of praying people. They pray for their children, the world and anyone else who needs them. And they pray every day. They probably have saved many souls that way.
Another way is carrying my crosses with grace. Yes, everyone has their crosses. Yes some carry them better than others. My relative who was laid to rest today carried hers with dignity. She didn't complain. She relied on her faith, comfort from her family and friends and the grace of God. Isn't that what we need more of? God. And better yet, God's grace?
One other way, love. Our family is rooted in love. My relative was surounded by that in her final days. She loved everyone and took time to let others know they are loved by others and by God.
Yes, it's not easy to measure up to her and her faith. But I'm going to try in the ways I thought of.
