Michael Palaich and his wife, Sandra, divide their time between Arizona and Croatia. Michael is the father of two grown children and grandfather to Megan and Nathaniel. He is a graduate of Wayne State University, Detroit Michigan, where he graduated Cum Laude with B.A. degrees in Psychology and Political Science. He has worked as a freelance journalist and served as a correspondent during the wars in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Michael also worked several years in various capacities for the Croatian government’s Ministry of Information and Ministry of Defense. He is best known in Croatia for his documentary film “Bleiburg Tragedy” which deals with the post-WWII war crimes of Communists in Yugoslavia. He was employed by a Michigan utility company before retiring in 2009; and today he is in the Phoenix Diocese Prison Ministry.
