Jeff Gardner received his MA and completed his Doctoral work in Medieval history and the study of religion at the University of Kansas. He is currently a PhD-ABD scholar in Communication and the Arts at Regent University, Norfolk, VA., where he researches the impact of images and social media on global, humanitarian effort to relieve suffering and eliminate poverty.
For over a decade and a half Jeff has worked in the media, writing, producing audio, video and taking photographs for various publications and non-profit organizations throughout 25 countries across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
In 2007 he co-founded and became CEO of Catholic Media International, a global humanitarian media and communication company.
In 2013 he launched the Picture Christians Project, the purpose of which is to educate the public about the lives of Christians around the world and advocate for solutions to their unique circumstances.
Jeff Gardner is one of the only photographers and media experts to travel frequently to the Middle East, traveling to countries like Iraq, Syria, Jordan and Egypt, where he spends time speaking with and documenting the lives of Christians, refugees and the victims of ISIS and its terror
His writings and photographic work have been featured in numerous national and international publications and broadcasts, and he is a frequent guest and Middle East expert on networks and news site such as EWTN, Relevant Radio, the National Catholic Register, Aletia, Conservative Review, Newsmax, Fox News and Sean Hannity.
