Did Mary Know?
By Elizabeth Thomas
I read a blog about the song MARY DID YOU KNOW? A beautiful song that was called horrific for it put Mary down I guess. In a way it did for Mary, when she said YES---did know this was the Son of God, her Savior, our Savior, the Lamb of God and when she kissed His face, yes, she knew---she was kissing the face of God. The Subject though, or the question that popped into my mind----DO WE KNOW?

Have you made a New Year's Resolution? Here is a Suggestion.
By David Torkington
A hermit I know used to say, ‘When you stop falling you will be in heaven, but when you stop getting up, you will be in hell’. The fact of the matter is, we all fall. The secret of spiritual growth is how long we take before we get up again.

Move Beyond Your Fears to Total Trust in God
By Kevin J. Banet
How can we tame our fears and walk with confident faith in God? If we want to move beyond servile and mercenary fears for a higher form of love, should we always forget about those lesser fears, or ignore them? There is a saying from Nelson Mandela: “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.

The Most Horrific Song of Christmas
By Lorrie McNickle
I recently unfollowed a celebrity Catholic speaker for her mean spirited post defending the song "Mary Did You Know. It wasn't just a defense of the song that really got me though, it was that she called out all those who hated this song and find it quite correctly - heretical, haters.

Abandonment to God's Will
By Joseph Freyaldenhoven
On your Journey to Sainthood perhaps the best tool we can present is Abandonment of Divine Providence or God's Will. So many of the Super Saints have used this tool. Saints like Francis of Assisi, Teresa of Avila, John Vianney, Saint Louis Marie de Montfort... Today we want to consider Saint Therese of Lisieux

A New Year of God's Favor
By Katie Zalany
On the Sunday before Christmas, I was at my monthly Franciscan order Mass and formation meeting, and the Formation Director looked right at me and said, “As Catholics, each year we announce a year of favor at Christmas, so may 2020 be a year of God’s overwhelming favor and abundance for you.” That caught my attention. I don’t know about you but I certainly want favor in the new year!

God has Chosen to Become Man and Make His Home Within us
By David Torkington
Of the whole gamut of myths, legends and fairy tales that have been told in human history, not even the most outrageous or outlandish can compare with the message that we can so easily take for granted. It is the message first delivered to poor shepherds as they tended their flocks in the early hours of the first Christmas day.

Division
By Lorrie McNickle
I see much banter these days on social media and really by people in general about the evils of division. We even have great quotes from history that a house divided cannot stand, stated by Abraham Lincoln regarding the issues of slavery. Satan is also referred to as "the divider" in scripture. But if division is evil then how do we make sense of Luke 12:51.
