So You're a "Person of Faith" and "PRO-Choice"? Really? Which Faith?
By Frank Lloyd
With the forty-first Anniversary of the “Roe vs. Wade” decision almost upon us, I am hoping someone might provide an answer to and clear up a question I’ve had for many years now. I often hear many of those who claim to be “people of Faith”, including some people that I deeply care for, say that they are “Pro-choice” and make declarations such as, “Although I’m against it, I would never IMPOSE

St Stephen and a Hog Killing
By Ebeth Weidner
Many wonder why we have to be confronted with the martyrdom of a young brave man from the early Church the day after Christmas. We have to wipe that smile of joy and celebration amidst the gifts, food, and fellowship off our faces, we have to be confronted with sadness and unbridled meanness contained in human nature.

End does not justify the means. What does this mean? The misunderstanding and misapplication.
By John Chan
The end doesn’t justify the means! As Catholics, we know this already. As per the Catechism of the Catholic Church: 1756 It is therefore an error to judge the morality of human acts by considering only the intention that inspires them or the circumstances (environment, social pressure, duress or emergency, etc.) which supply their context.

Believe ... or leave.
By Victor S E Moubarak
John Chapter 6 has been the source of much debate and confusion over the years ... and the arguments will still go on. No doubt to the amusement of Jesus looking down upon us and saying: "You of little Faith. Why can't you just believe and stop dissecting and analysing everything I said as if I were an insect in your lab!"

Infallibility and What It Means
By David R. Myers
I’m writing this column as a result of responses I received to an earlier column in which I gave practical advice to Catholics who find themselves in dialogues with non-Catholic Christians.

A New Resolution
By Tim Kelley
2015 has arrived and we are at the beginning of another calendar year. It has become tradition for us to make New Year’s resolutions, making promises to ourselves of changes we’re going to make in the year to come. A new year marks a new beginning and a time for improvement.

Remembering "THE PICTURE" Killing"Little Christy"
By Larry Peterson
If there is one thing that is etched into my mind when I think back about the year of 2014 it is THE PICTURE. I am not trying to be graphic or shocking or anything like that. I am just trying to show how an innocent child can be brutally murdered on camera because she was born Christian, killed for propaganda purposes, and the outcry from the world is barely audible. I do not understand.

Christianity Under Attack: Religious Freedom Protects It. Without it Many Die. May God Bless and Preserve America's Freedoms
By Larry Peterson
Countless articles, essays, blogs and so forth will be in print as we welcome in the New year of 2015. I'm not going to reminisce or wallow in what might have been or what should be. I just want to mention a family to you. Maybe you have heard of them, maybe not. Their names were Magdy Tawfiq, his wife, Sahar Rizk ,and their daughters, Catherine, 13 and two younger girls aged 10 and aged 9.

Love Came Down
By Tom Ponchak
It is said that when the Apostle John was living in Ephesus in his old age he would often address the church there with the same simple exhortation, “My little children, love one another.” The elders of the community, tired of hearing the same repeated message, would press John to share with the church some great insight about Jesus or being a disciple.

Resolutions vs. Goals
By Renee Oania
In 2014, did I stick with my resolutions? No! Instead, I started writing goals for myself that would be realistic and a part of my daily routine. So what do resolutions or goals have to do with God, Jesus, and Faith?

Contemplatively Resolving
By Mary Annthipie Bane
The New Year is quickly approaching and with it an opportunity for new beginnings. This is a time of year to direct our thoughts to fresh starts and new opportunities. The New Year brings with it renewed spiritual life for those who are about to dedicate their lives to something greater than themselves and receive Jesus Christ as Savior

Standing in the Centre of the Universe
By Melanie Jean Juneau
I am living in a fantasy when I see myself as the centre of the universe, viewing everything as it circles around me. As believers, we sing and recite prayers that proclaim that God is the centre of all, but our psychological make-up screams the exact opposite.

Make a Difference in Someone's Life
By Rebecca Johnasen
Have you ever seen The Christmas Box with Richard Thomas? What about the sequel Timepiece? James Earl Jones is in it with Richard Thomas. I grew up watching The Christmas Box. It is one of my family's favorite Christmas movies. I watched the sequel several times. These movies are about love and forgiveness. If you have not seen either of these movies, I recommend you watch them as soon as you can.

When Thinking "Family", Two Teenagers Set the Bar For Us All
By Larry Peterson
The Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of the Holy Family on the Sunday following Christmas. If you are among the millions of folks who never pay an iota of attention to this family, maybe you should. Why? Because this is the family that "set the bar" for all families.

Can We Still Live as Inspired People?
By Michael Ripple
The other day I was making my way through the bookstore at the Cleveland Institute of Music- just killing some time. Wow! If you've never had the chance and you are a music score junky--I highly recommend it. Who would have thought that so much history, culture, creativity, and paper could be found in a 15 by 15 room? Stacked to the ceiling notations, operas, etudes, papers, books, and scores.

If You Do Not Believe in Christmas Miracles Maybe You Should Reconsider
By Larry Peterson
I believe, without reservation, that the Christmas season is a time for miracles. I have, over the years, experienced more than one. This was my first. You can decide for yourself if it qualifies.

"Peace on Earth"; Humility is the Key and the Christ Child is the Answer
By Larry Peterson
Peace on earth? Where is it? Is it in Syria? How about Pakistan? It is not in Sudan or Iraq. It is definitely not hanging out in Afghanistan or Iran. Pakistan?—God help us. How about Russia and Ukraine and Ferguson, Missouri?
