Well--Thank You Honey!
By Elizabeth Thomas
“Your phone is on the charger, if you are looking for it—I put it there last night for you.” “Now that means you get a big hug and kiss, thank you for thinking about me—I really appreciate that!” Now, I am saying that, but I am also thinking—it is about time, I am forever doing daily small things for you that you take for granted.

Little Boy: Big Faith
By Caroline Godin
I just had the privilege of seeing the premiere of Little Boy courtesy of the Archdiocese of Boston’s generous benefactors who bought out the Burlington AMC for the night. While I couldn’t pass up a free movie in the theater, or a chance to take my youth group (and kids) out, I found the trailer to be charming as well. Seemed like a win-win.

The Trials of Jesus
By Veronica Dannemiller
When reflecting on Jesus' crucifixion, many are brought to tears and feel shame, knowing that they are part of the reason it ever happened. But Jesus endured so much more than just dying on a cross, and I want to take a deeper look into the trials and tribulations Jesus endured, all for our sake, so we can see what a sacrifice He truly made for us.

Faith of Our Fathers: Myth Busters - "Jesus Was Not A Great Man" - Stamping Out Ignorance That Has Built Up Over 1700 Years
By Michael Cunningham
You go to the dentist to clean your teeth, you may take medicine to help keep your arteries clean, but what do you do for a religious check up? This may sound at first odd or weird, but with Church attendance decreasing and with many people not get a solid religious education in the first place, maybe religious check-ups are just what the doctor would order to help out our spiritual needs. If we h

The Pope's Mistakes
By Victor S E Moubarak
Early one morning Father Ignatius received a phone call from Mother Superior. Sister Josephine had been called away to visit a very sick relative; would he take on her Catechism class of 7 and 8 year-olds. He sat down at her desk and said, “Let’s start where Sister Josephine left off last week. What did she teach?”

He Touched Me!! Again!!
By Elizabeth Thomas
Despondent and listless, going from day to day—with an “Alleluia” here, and “Glory be to the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit” there: have you wondered what an elderly person sitting in a wheel chair in a nursing home or at home would feel like?

Facebook and Prayer
By Mariel Roersma
There are many people who believe that Facebook, and other types of Social Media are bad. It is a different way of connecting with people, and it's not the same as having a face to face relationship with someone. And there has been bullying, divorce, and a lot of cruel things that have happened because of Facebook.

We Need to Live in the Day!
By Lorrie McNickle
Making the most of the day, isn't that what life should be all about? It really is the small moments that matter the most, and stay with us: the quiet snowfall in the evening twilight, the soft patter of raindrops hitting the ground, and the flutter of a bird’s wings flying overhead on a warm summer day.

DEFENDING THE DIVINITY OF CHRIST
By Alex Brittain
A while ago I wrote a very short introduction about the doctrine of the Trinity, that God is three persons yet one. (To read that short essay click here.) This essay will continue with that concept and will focus specifically on the Divinity of Jesus Christ, meaning that Jesus is God and is the second Person of the Blessed Trinity.

Okay Priest--Let Us Have Mass!
By Elizabeth Thomas
Remember when in the late 1990’s the world was wondering—“Will the Catholic Church ever let women become a priest?” Well back then, I was wondering too, and was having some ‘conversations’ with the Holy Spirit about this and seeking Wisdom too, on why of the Church chose to keep Her Priest men and celibate.

Alzheimer's Disease--The Growing, Unstoppable Epidemic
By Larry Peterson
My wife, Marty, began undergoing chemo treatments for Lymphoma during the spring of 2011. In the summer of 2013 cognitive disruption began to rear its ugly head. When I asked her oncologist could it be "chemo brain", he more or less gave me an I'm not sure, maybe shrug followed by a "I don't think so.", answer.

Why I'm still Catholic
By Catherine Garrett
Like many of you, my grandparents were devout Catholics. They then raised their children (8 and 6 children respectfully) in the Catholic faith. About half of my parents siblings are no longer practicing Catholics and almost none of my cousins are either. There are doctrines of the church that hurt me to accept because of how some people in my family are. But I am still Catholic.

When bad things happen
By Faith-Full Writer
Some one once asked "why does God let bad things happen to good people?" I think the answer is in three parts. The first two are integrally tied to free will.

Time to "Slap Back" at the Self-Serving Intolerance of the Anti-Catholic/Christian
By Larry Peterson
When I began to contemplate the Cross on Good Friday and Who was nailed to it, I found myself disgusted. I am still disgusted. I am disgusted and fed up with the approximately 2% of the population who are gay and are screaming at the “intolerance” of the Catholic/Christian community which comprises 80% of the American population.

Soaring Like an Eagle
By Elizabeth Thomas
While driving to work last week, I saw an eagle soaring above Lake Dardanelle, and immediately the Words came to my mind—“they that wait upon the Lord, will renew their strength, they shall rise up with wings as eagles.” As I had been having a day where energy was low, and feeling like I may be dealing with a virus—I thought, ‘sure could use some of Your strength Lord.’
