The Secret of Endurance
By Mary Rivers
Like most young adults, I thought I could take on the world. Bullying, segregation, injustice, sexism, could be overcome by loving thoughtful words, actions that were not violent, but demonstrative.

Bible-Snatching - Thievery with a Halo?
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
From bookstores and libraries countless books are shoplifted every year, as you know. But guess which is stolen most? Right - it's the Bible - the Good Book that says, "Thou shalt not steal"!

Day 168 – You Will Get a New Body
By David Vermont
In my opinion, this is one of the most joyful chapters of the New Testament. In it, Paul just made it clear to the Corinthians that the resurrection of the body is real. Paul says, “… and the dead shall be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.” What is particularly spectacular about this is that “we shall be changed”.

Egalitarianism in the Post-Christian World
By Robert Curtis O.P.
I continue to use this term, “post—Christian" to illustrate what some scholars, postmodern progressive academic elitists, and certain politicians believe the world to be. We Christians will always know better.

Is modesty still necessary?
By Flávia Ghelardi
We live in a world where the body is overvalued and very exposed; everything revolves around looks. Men and women spend hours in the gym defining their muscles; people make sacrifices with all types of diets; plastic surgery clinics are getting busier every day — all this to have the “perfect body.”

Where Were You in '62?
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
Saudi Arabia abolished slavery in 1962. Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation abolished slavery in the United States exactly a century earlier. To us, that's ancient history.

Day 167 – The Resurrection is Real
By David Vermont
Apparently, some in Corinth are saying that there is no resurrection of the dead. Paul addresses this head on. First, he lists all the witness to the resurrected Jesus. Paul notes that the resurrected Jesus appeared to Peter (Cephas), then to the twelve Apostles, then to a group of 500 people, then James, then all of the Apostles a second time, and then last He appeared to Paul.

Are YOU on Course?
By Lorrie McNickle
Everyone is at a different place on their journeys. I keep hearing people make this proclamation. I’m not sure though that I agree with their point, or the point that they are trying to defend, or the people no less they are trying to defend.

In Politics, Opponents Must Be Destroyed
By Bill Dunn
You’ve probably noticed in recent years that the political world is rather brutal. Mud-slinging and character assassination no longer happen just during election campaigns, but now occur every hour of every day.

Happy Death-Day to You!
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
Incidence or coincidence? Life is rife with many such unsolved mysteries, most of which pertain to the closing curtain of life's final act. When, why, and how are mysteries related to death's arrival. But the inevitability of death is a given. "Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment" (Heb 9:27).

Day 166 – Why you should care about speaking in tongues!
By David Vermont
Chapter 14 of 1 Corinthians is one of my most favorite chapters in the Bible. On the surface, it is a boring list of rules for speaking in tongues in the infant Church. This phenomenon is not something that happens as often these days. Most of us have never heard of anyone speaking in tongues, so why should we care?

A forest of trees has already been sacrificed to this fast-spreading Weinstein burn, but I have to share a few observations regarding the flaming fall of this entertainment mogul.

Are You a Potato or an Egg?
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
Under the fiery anguish of trial and tribulation, some people are hardened and embittered against the God who allows them to suffer, while in similar situations others are softened into a "thy-will-be-done" loving embrace of his wisdom and providence. Some become "hard-boiled eggs"; others become "baked potatoes."

Day 165 – The Greatest of These is Love
By David Vermont
How many weddings have we been to when we heard the passages of 1 Corinthians 13? At every wedding, we hear, “Love is patient, love is kind…”, but let’s consider what it means theologically.
