Music Revealing the Great Ages of History
By Scott Pauline
From apocalyptic theology that I have discussed [The Beast and the Days of Creation as all of human history], human history will have eight total ages of renewal from the Fall in the beginning all the way to the Second Coming and New Creation, inclusive.

Faith in Fact Is Faith in Act
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
Leading his congregation in prayer, a minister in a country church in the Ozarks uttered a petition that must have given the angels food for thought. "Dear Lord, if you can't make us hold much, at least make us overflow."

The one real tragedy of life
By Amelia Monroe Carlson
The book of Jonah is one of the shortest books in the Bible, but it speaks profoundly of situations we are seeing today. Jonah had a calling from the Lord – He was called to preach repentance. It may not be difficult to preach repentance to your friends, your co-workers, or even your neighbors. But, Jonah was called to go to a people that he had a profound disdain for and to tell them to repent

Eat My Dust!
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
The first effect of arrogance is self-deception, as the word of God reminds us: "The pride of your heart has deceived you" (Ob 3). In the eyes of God, "arrogance is like the evil of idolatry" (1 Sm 15:23); hence, "the Lord detests all the proud of heart" (Prv 16:5).

I don't want to be an apologist anymore.
By Jason Klinnert
I don't think anyone says when they are kids, "I want to grow up and be an apologist". I certainly didn't. I didn't want to be one at 18 years old. I didn't want to be one at 21 years old. I didn't want to ever be one. And I still don't. However, when you date, are engaged to, and marry an anti-Catholic woman, you become an amateur apologist by default,

A Time to Pray, a Time to Play
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
Imagine losing a soccer game by one goal - scored in the first three seconds of the game! At the very opening of a game in Brazil, the Corinthians scored the game's only goal while the goalie for the Rio Preto team was still on one knee, praying for victory!

The Truth about the Origins of the Roman Catholic Church
By Robert Curtis O.P.
Ever since the beginning of the Reformation, other churches have tried their hardest to obfuscate the origins of the Church. That intentional confusion, never stands up under Biblical criticism. One of the truths of the Church is that we did not make it up, we did not find ourselves a messiah and then build a theology around it.

The Typical, Catholic Apocalypse Approach Today: Is It Really Balanced?
By Scott Pauline
When I was in college, I had to work at a warehouse. It was known that I was the smart math guy (I was a math major). A fellow blue collar worker commented to me, "So you are a numbers man."

This Little Light of Mine
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
A young lady told her pastor she was "fed up" with her work environment. She was the only one there with any religious idealism and wanted to quit. He asked her, "Where do you put the lamps in your house?" Taken aback by the question, she responded that they would be placed in otherwise dark areas.

Day 147 – The Naked Man
By David Vermont
There is a curious bit at the ending of Mark’s account of the arrest of Jesus. And a young man followed him, with nothing but a linen cloth about his body. And they seized him, but he left the linen cloth and ran away naked.

When All Else Fails....
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
The secretaries' lounge at NASA has a wall poster that reads: "Women astronauts are indispensable. If the crew is lost in space, somebody has to ask for directions!"

Day 146 – The Last Supper
By David Vermont
Today we read Mark’s account of the Last Supper. Mark provides us with some particularly important details. Here is the passage, note again how the last supper follows the same exact pattern as the distribution of the loaves and the fishes at the feeding of the 5,000.

Motivational Spark Plugs
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
Motivation is the basic success factor for everything we do, but it is more complicated than we might imagine. Psychologists think that the average human decision may be sparked by as many as eight different conscious or subconscious motives simultaneously.

Day 145 – The Woman with the Expensive Oil and the Man with the Water Jug
By David Vermont
Today we read about the woman who anoints Jesus with oil shortly before the Last Supper and the Passion begin. We are told that the ointment is worth 300 denarii. A single denarius was a day’s wages so this is worth approximately 1 years pay (excluding Sabbath days and holidays).

A Paycheck from God
By Lorrie McNickle
I don’t know about you, but the gospel reading about the laborers, makes me a bit uncomfortable. I can certainly relate to the ill feelings the workers who toiled all day long and received the same amount of pay as the workers who toiled for but a mere hour or less did. Our sense of justice deems that very unfair.

Sales Resistance, Advanced Course
By Rev. John H. Hampsch, C.M.F
Intrusions into our daily plans seem to be an unavoidable problem for most people, But not all intrusions are obnoxious. We want to be notified when there's a family emergency, or a change of a schedule appointment. And one form of "intrusion" we should never resent is a silent nudge of grace through which God often manifests his will for us.

Day 144 – Be Watchful
By David Vermont
Today we read more of Jesus’ prophecy of the end of the Temple and the destruction of Jerusalem. One interesting fact is that Jesus told his followers that when they see these things happening they should flee the city. This played out in history exactly as Jesus had predicted. As the Roman invasion of Israel was underway, political infighting reached a high point in Rome.
