I'm Paul Couturier, a life-long Catholic in my 50's. I'm married to a wonderful woman named Maria, and we live in North Attleboro, MA.
I'm an active member of my local parish where I serve as a Lector, and I'm also a member of my local Knights of Columbus Council. And I served for 30 years in the Army National Guard and the Army Reserve, to include a year deployment to Iraq.
My faith was formed in the turbulent years of the late 1960's-1970's following Vatican II! My formal faith education (or as it's referred to in many places today, Faith Formation) was barely functional at best. For example, I'm from the generation for whom the Sacrament of Confirmation was nothing more than "graduation from CCD".
Today, I refer to myself as a survivor of Post-Vatican II catechetical experimentation! I even started a Facebook page, called "Catholic survivors of post-Vatican 2 Catechetical experimentation". Check it out here-----> https://www.facebook.com/groups/1036882946323006/
I hope what I write for Catholic365.com will be things that many of you can relate to, especially if you grew up as a Catholic in that turbulent time in the years following Vatican II.
