What is a Writer?

I remember the first "book" I wrote was in 2nd grade. It was an elaborate story about me and my friends having to rescue another friend from the clutches of an evil witch. My writing skills have improved since then. My illustrations skills... have not.
For me, it all started with reading. Walking around with my nose in a book. Whether it was in the hallways, walking up and down the stairs, late at night under the covers... I had my nose in a book and my head in the clouds.
I read The Boxcar Children and The Babysitters Club. But my favorite books were actually another allegory series my mom had introduced me to--The Archives of Anthropos by John White.
My first "official" book series was a Pokemon fan-fiction about this evil Pokemon, Eklipse, who wanted to take over the world. I wrote three full length books and then eventually rewrote them as my own novels.
Since then, they've been wiped off the face of the earth. I don't remember if I ever read The Chronicles of Narnia. If I did, they didn't stick with me at the time.
But I remember watching the first movie. I remember how much Aslan touched my heart. I remember devouring all the books shortly after, and any book about Narnia I could get my hands on. I remember when C.S. Lewis became my friend.
And I remember, like it was yesterday, that I wanted to write a modern allegory inspired by Narnia.
And then I started writing The Arrow Bringer in 2010. It was accepted by Write Integrity Press, LLC on February 27, 2018. And it will be published on March 19, 2019.
Getting here has not been an easy road. But I didn't give up. And trust me, there were times I wanted to. But I could no more give up writing than I could give up breathing. It's hard-wired into my DNA.
After all... I'm a writer. And that means I'm a world trapped in a person.

She hopes they give you a serious case of the feels, and that they make you laugh. Most of all, she hopes they help you know just how much Jesus loves you.
