He is there with us when we’re down
He is there with us all over town
He is there with us when we’re on a train
He is there with us when we complain
His presence is abundant, nurturing, and kind
His presence is fostered in our soul and our mind
He is there with us in the breaking of the bread
He is there with us so we are not mislead –
By the empty promises of consumerism and greed
His presence, His love is all we will ever need
His presence in our lives is up to our free will
His presence is felt most when we are quiet and still
He is there for us when we have doubts, confusion
He is there when we feel burdened by our sin
His presence persists whether we’re young or old
His presence is comforting not boastful or bold
He is there even if we have shunned Him repeatedly
He is there for us because He wants us to see –
The light of His presence, the One True Way
His presence is all around us each and every day
So when you feel consumed by grief, hope, or strife
Turn to Jesus, He will truly change your life
