In the 1st century (1 AD to 100 AD) after Jesus left, Apostles are killed for preaching what they truly seen, known and now fully believe that God loved the world so much that he sent his son Jesus to pay the price for all our sins on the cross, just so that whoever believes in his Son is saved by his loving grace.

45. Bishops bring together the books that they call Canons, as something inspired by God. It will eventually become Bible in the future.
46. Bishops begin arguing and start having their own set of beliefs. It leads to the first split in the Church as some of them leave the one Roman Catholic Church to form their own church.
47. Marcion group does not accept entire Bible as inspired. Gnostics group believe Jesus is a man in appearance only but he is fully divine and does not really posssess the weakness of humans. Montanists groups wanted rigorous fasting and considered their prophecies as powerful as the gospels written by apostles.
48. There are sudden persecutions once in a while, few people are killed for being Christians. Christianity is considered an illegal religion, something that just rose up suddenly.
49. High class Romans become Christians. Powerful Christians begin educating kings to stop persecution. The first time when church and state (head of a country or region) begin interacting.
50. The Christian population is now 20 lakhs. Six Popes were killed for their Christian faith during the 2nd century.
51. Natalius becomes first Anti-pope
Antipope is someone who becomes or claims to be the pope in an inappropriate manner after going against the current pope. Natalius believed in Adoptionism which means, Jesus did not exist from the beginning and he was only adopted as a Son of God at his birth. He repented and reconciled later.
