Do we speak with just our lips?

I am not going to talk about things that may make you feel good about yourself, or things that may make you think that everything is just going great.

My call is not to bring about a healing of the body or a healing of the mind. I’m not saying that physical and mental healing aren’t a good thing. But what’s been laid on my heart is a healing of the heart and soul. My concern is with the eternal.

So I want to shake your foundation to wake you up. This temporary life will pass. Where will your eternity be? I can assure you that you WILL have an eternity.

If you can’t live fully for God in this temporary place, do you think that you will live with God for eternity? It’s time to wake up the Church. It’s time to bring this message. It’s time to stop walking the fence. Stop trying to serve two masters. It’s time to say to those that are walking the fence and trying to serve two masters, YOU ARE NOT serving God. You are serving satan and yourself.

We need to wake up! Put God and His ways at the forefront of our lives. The excuses MUST stop! There are no excuses when it comes to you and God.

The “Well I’m Human” doesn’t work. Why? Because the one you are supposed to be serving and following is God, the creator of all. He promised us, if we lean on Him, He would deliver us. And He expects us to put nothing else over Him. If you really serve Him and truly follow Him, your heart wants nothing to do with what is against Him and you would lean on Him alone.

Put God at the top of your life. Stop holding on to that which is not from God.. Trying to please self. Looking for ways around what is the truth because the truth isn’t wholly the thing you want in your life at this point. “It’s just a little thing” it doesn’t really matter anyway. Sin is sin no matter how you try and water it down.

You keep telling yourself that you are bound and no matter what YOU do, you keep doing it over and over. So you have convinced yourself since you are just human and there seems to be nothing you can do, then its ok, it’s not really that bad anyway. It’s not hurting anyone. Anyone that is except you.

Those chains that you say are binding you, aren’t even locked! Jesus took those locks a long time ago. Let go of the chains! You’re the one holding on for whatever the reasons are. You keep saying, I enjoy doing this, I get pleasure from it, whatever the reason might be. It’s you that is holding on to those chains. God wants them to drop off. He’s even willing to help unwind them from you. You just need to let go! Take self and let go and put God on top.

There is enough broken in this world. We don’t need the people that profess to be a part of the body of Christ to be broken as well. Are you one that Isaiah spoke of in chapter 29 verse 13? “And the Lord said: Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men.” We need to right ourselves and come to God with our hearts. And not just our hearts, but our whole being. We need to be the ones that bring the light of Christ to this broken world.

That can’t happen with lukewarm Christians. If you carry the flame of the Holy Spirit within your whole being, you CAN’T be lukewarm. If you are wholly given to Christ (and don’t have that room in your heart that is for you and you alone) your heart will be a blazing flame and can’t be just lukewarm.

Get off the fence. It does no good to be a lukewarm Christian. Trying to play in the water that is neither cold nor hot. As it says in Revelations 3: 15-16. If you want to play on both sides, you will hear “So because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I WILL spit you out of my mouth”.
