On Saint Benedict's Ladder

Peace prayers help us to relearn how to live after war. However, we keep praying to live peacefully as wars are going on in the world, too.
Here are some suggestions:
• We might pray for the Pope's intentions. We easily could do that every day, especially when we aren't making it to Daily Mass. I just literally say ‘for the Pope's intentions.' I frequently add for our Bishop's intentions and our Abbey's.
• We could reread the Ten Commandment explanations in the Cathechism. Especially those parts we glossed over as kids. As far as I know Catholics and Lutherans have the same numbering, where other denominations may break them out differently. Don't get caught up in the numbers, the point is to refresh ourselves, living toward peace.
• The beginning of Romans has Paul telling us that no one needs to be wise or educated to understand the Gospel. Well, we could be spreading the Gospel around as easily as peanut butter!
• Quoting a part of Scripture for the day encased in our conversation should help other Christians to recall they are in the world, but not of the world. It should help those seeking God, too.
• My last suggestion here would be to replace a greeting or good bye with a peace filled substitute.
Thank you and peace to us!
