The first time I attended the March for Life I felt very underused--I came all the way to stop abortion by walking? Many of us have conversion stories surrounding abortion or contraception, had taught advocacy on it, had victory stories to share against fighting the PTSD surrounding it or to share best practices on a pro-life campaign. But here we are--surrounded by our soul advocates, we were only bonded by the route the March recommended us or the little welcome ceremony that started it that introduced the lawmakers and name workers.
Granted that subsidiarity is at work here--families are praying or sisters in their respective congregation or parish groups. Granted that the March for Life is ecumenical but so many Catholics run the programs. The evangelicals and the rabbis can give their talks; why can we not have our sacraments?
There is the morning and vigil Mass the day before plus the overnight adoration. There are also churches, basilicas and shrines to make pilgrimages to. But what I am asking if to get the big spiritual guns that have been shown to work--what is keeping us from doing it on the day of the March?
It is really simple. Three steps:
1. Adding the rosary for the numerous early arriving patrons of the Mass and letting the young people coming in by bus loads to lead it and maybe have a youth-centered Mass. Rosary Mission who already has even a sung rosary being taught to old and young alike in various large-scale settings like schools and nursing homes and is based out of DC can be the best fit to lead this addition.
2. Eucharistic Procession
Let it begin after the welcome ceremonies. Let Jesus be at the head of the rally. Those who are faithful can trail along behind Him. Let people know adoration of the Blessed Sacrament announces that Christ is Lord and evil cannot live where the Lord lives and walks.
3. Exorcism by a bishop of the Planned Parenthood /abortion mill in the city.
These--like 40 Days for Life--have been shown to stop abortion, close abortion facilities, saves babies. There are educational and legislative programs by many non-profits--but they are veering from even using the language of prayer and intercession so they can maintain their broad alliances.
The March of Life for all its benefits as the biggest and most encouraging prolife party, opps, demonstration in the world against abortion, still stands to accomplish the desired goal of ending abortion in the US once and for all.
Given the numerous kids (babies!), families, high schoolers, NGO staff, churches, young and retired and working professionals, college students, religious spending money and time to travel there, I always feel a certain sadness all the faithful young, old and in-between people do not quite get the full opportunity to make a difference. That is, for Catholics, aware of these tools, especially with the ministry of former satanic high priest, now abortion fighter Zachary King, explaining how the souls of the babies lost to abortion per location are consecrated to the devil at every witching hour on that timezone, and thus serves as the fuel for the devil's power. That he outlined prayer in front of the mill, exorcism, Eucharistic Procession and rosary among the necessary, and proven ways of eliminating the facilities of the culture of death, one should not be remiss to not use it. Please share this to the church/pro-life leaders.
