Sorrowful Mysteries - Carrying of the Cross

Dear Jesus, You hung from that pillar for us and humbly accepted each painful lash of the whips until you did not have strength to stand. We stand before You with our bare souls striped with sin and ask Your forgiveness. We ask that You look down with mercy at the ravaged bodies of those tormented by disease, violence, torture, and selfish choices, painful unrelenting thoughts....our hearts are ripped open from sorrow, our spirits sag from the sufferings.
Father, I ask that You strengthen all those reading this who are standing at their own pillar at this moment, and plead in Jesus' name and for the sake of His sorrowful passion...for their last lash, and for the whip to be set aside.
Amen
