The Best Gift

When you are around lots of different people, you see they appreciate many different things. Some appreciate the simple things and others the not so simple things. Lately though, I’ve had numerous people remark that prayer is the best gift you can give someone. Yes, prayer, talking to God. It’s such a simple thing. But it’s appreciated more than most others.

I think it’s appreciated more than most because God is more help than any one person could be. He knows us more, loves us more, guides us more and is always there for us. He is more comfort, a better source of strength, and is someone more rely on than others.

I pray for lots of people every day, some know it, others don’t. It increases my own faith to see answered prayers. And it inspires me to see just how much others need God. So the next time you want to give someone something special, pray for them. It’s one of the best gifts of all.
