Bad Things Are Good?

It's often said that bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. But did you ever consider that to God, the bad things we go through, the crosses we carry are actually good? Those times, the ones that seem the hardest are the times when God is actually working in us. Those are the times when He wants us to focus on Him.

I'm sure I'm not alone in not even conisdering that God is working in me when everything seems hard. But as I look back, I can see where He is and even how. The bad times show us what we are made of. They increase our faith. They cause us to put our focus on prayer, on God and sometimes on others. They cause us to grow and change our minds about things. They cause us to reach out and be Christ to others. They teach us things we never knew. That is God's purpose for bad things happening to us.

Sure, good times have a purpose too. Those times cause to praise Him,and thank Him. But I don't feel they teach us enough. They don't allow God to work in us as much. So, the next time you are going through a bad thing, remember to God, it's a good thing.
