Pray For The Lost

We all have many roles in our lives. We are daughters and sons, mothers and fathers, friends, employees, artists, writers, musicians. Did anyone ever consider that we are also an answered prayer?
I bet that's not something most consider. But it's true. We could be that person who inspires someone to become Catholic. We could be that person who says one word or does one thing that changes someone's life. We could be that one person who brightens someone's day, or is there for someone in their time of need. We could be that one person who shows up when help is needed. We could be that one person someone else has been praying their whole life for. Maybe someone is praying for their future spouse; maybe we're it. Maybe someone is praying for someone to be that new loving parent to their child who is waiting to be adopted.
We're all here for a reason. One of those reasons is to be an answer to someone's prayers. Don't take that for granted. Take it seriously. Remember it. Be open to it. Talk to God about it. Being the answer to someone's prayer is one important role; one that is not thought of enough. But it's true. May we all be that answer to prayers just as someone has been that answer to ours.
