Day 9 - completion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena

Just like the excitement of a child's very first steps, done with the help of a guiding hand and supporting arms, we come to the completion of our "steps" to the Consecration of our heart to the most Holy Sacred Heart of Jesus.
On this journey, day after day, we have conversed with Jesus and entrusted our innermost thoughts, desires and vows. Our baby steps have led us right into the arms of Jesus. Where He presses us close in a loving embrace, to His most Sacred Heart. Safe and secure, dedicated to loving Him completely with our own hearts united.
Now starts our mission. We promise to Him, to Love Him with every beat of "our" hearts every breath that we take. In our fervor to learn how to "walk", the desire and passion to "run" to our Lord grows stronger. Falling along the way, we have the gentle arms of Jesus to pick us up and stand us erect to our feet. Where the Sacred Heart of Jesus bandages our knees after we have fallen. Placing the healing salve of His Precious Blood on our scraped wounds.
Today, we consecrate ourselves and all of our loved ones as we never forget that it is in His Sacred Heart where we are healed. We are made whole. With His promise of this to be true.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my heart inside yours. Keep my family and the whole world safe and protected from the stumbling of our feet. Stand beside us as we are still learning how to walk with you and to you. Hold our hands for support and let us always remember, that is in You, we find our Safe Haven.
