The quest of the golden ticket
Today, we celebrate St Joseph, the wonderworker. He is also, faithful husband, foster father, and beloved friend to millions who have come to know his miraculous powers through his intercession.
Forgotten, many times for the things he did and still can do, we must cherish the fact that the Holy Family would be in complete without him. He was specially picked by God. He proved his humanness in so many ways that we can relate to, quite easily. His temperament, his loyalty, his doubts, his love from Mary as a husband, his fears, his faithfulness makes him so easy for us to talk to him and rely on him to hear our prayers and answer them.
Mary, our Mother, loves him. Jesus, called him father and obeyed him as his child. As the prayer says "God made him Prince over all of his possessions", St Joseph is a real and true friend to us and All families. His great example of leadership as the head of the household should be followed and upheld as an important tool to follow if we want our families to be holy. I truly believe Saint Joseph was part of our Lord's motivation and strength to carry that cross and fulfill the passion and death on Calvary. Saint Joseph needed him. He was waiting for the Resurrection. He died in the company of Mary and Jesus with the sweet assurance that Jesus would be coming soon for him in that limbo that he remained until Salvation would hit mankind. Jesus's selfless act of love, I believe, was directed with St Joseph in mind. Mary, loves him and he loves Mary. Jesus, saw and felt this love, therefore making that love complete as a family.
Oh! Beloved St Joseph! I love you. Help me to love you more. Wonderworker of Heaven, intercede for us!
