The secret chamber that resides within each heart is a private room, set aside just for you and God. The door, when opened, allows God to enter and it fills us completely. Many times the door is shut and He truly stands outside knocking. When we open it, we see Him, standing there ready and waiting to place that first step across the threshold. Once in, He sits down, not saying a word. But allowing us to feel His Peace. He listens like a good Father does. Sometimes, all He has to do is stretch out His arms to welcome us into His Holy embrace. Other times, He counsels us, hoping we will listen as He knows very well of our free will.
Prayers prayed to welcome Him inside our minds and hearts, help us in our struggles of daily life. Those decisions that weigh heavy as to a correct outcome. The sorrow that seems to reach every depth of our being. The confusion of a change that suddenly came and we were not prepared for. All these doors to our heart have a "key master". Our God. He wants to unlock them as He stands outside knocking.
Open up those doors and leave everything else outside as you welcome Him in. He finds rest in you and truly, you will find rest in Him.
