Angel Studio, an independent film company, is looking at a promising year ahead in 2026. This week, the studio has revealed its slate of movies coming from now until December and they cover multiple genres.
Animal Farm
Based on a novella written by George Orwell, the film follows farm animals who are trying to overthrow the farmers. The book had themes that came out at the height of Stalinism. The movie is slated for a May 1st release.
Young Washington
Just in time for America’s 250th Birthday, the biopic of the father of our nation will highlight his early life, especially his military career during the Colonial Wars.
The Brink of War
The high-stakes Reykjavik Summit between Reagan and Gorbachev is the subject of the movie. The film cast includes Jeff Daniels, Jared Harris, and J.K. Simmons. The movie will be released on August 14th.
Runner
Owen Wilson and Alan Ritchson will star in this action movie that follows a former soldier protecting a medical delivery from the cartel. This film will be released on September 11th.
Angel and the Badman
This remake of a John Wayne classic is set for October. It follows an outlaw who gets a chance at redemption. The film cast includes Tommy Lee Jones and Zachary Levi. The remake is set for an October release.
Drummer Boy
The title may be deceiving, but it is not what many would speculate. The Christmas musical, set for November 6th release, follows two brothers on opposite sides of the American Revolution.
Hershey
Set for Thanksgiving release, the biopic follows the life of Milton Hershey, the chocolate tycoon, and the rise of his empire that we know today in the candy section.
Zero A.D.
Many won’t see the fact that Jim Caviezel is Herod, but it’s happening this Christmas. The film, directed by Alejandro Monteverde, follows the events surrounding the birth of Christ.
Angel Studio has a promising lineup. We shall see if they all will dominate the box office for months to come.
