The Lord God has given me a well-trained tongue, that I might know how to answer the weary
a word that will wake them. Morning after morning he awakens my ear to hear as disciples do. Isaiah 50:4

A Musician’s Prayer

I have been blessed, Lord
with Your gift of music

it flows from me

a quiet stream
a strong wind
a warming fire
a raging storm

I draw inspiration from Your creation
everything that surrounds me
brings me joy

all that is asked of me
is to bring life to Your word
in every circumstance

help me to reveal
Your gifts of love, mercy and tenderness,
sorrow over inequity,
guidance and correction

allow me to be Your voice
singing Your praises
gently drawing all to You
through the rhythm and melody of song
