Christ Suffered the Crucifixion to Save Us. ARE WE SAVED?
What Will We Be Doing In Heaven?
Eileen Renders
It is natural to have a bit of anxiety when we contemplate our death; however, most deaths result in people being in bed or in a hospice where they are made comfortable, have visitors, and are without pain. Once we have accepted our fate, we pray for acceptance into heaven. When we have realized that we all will leave this world in similar ways due to age, disease, and God’s will, what is left to ponder?
Spending eternity in heaven is a long time, and maybe we might want to consider this: “What will we be doing in heaven with all of our time”? We can eliminate eating, seeking bathroom facilities, a bed to sleep in, meals, sickness, and more. Therefore, the question remains, “What will we be doing with our time”? Knowing how God has always provided for us, it is not inconceivable to believe we will have much to do. Let’s consider a few of the things we enjoyed on earth that might also remain true in heaven. Will our pets be there waiting for us, and still enjoy our company? We may be able to socialize and continue to write, to paint, or to be a Speaker at gatherings.
There will be nature to enjoy, including waterfalls, birds, trees, and more! We will visit with family and friends, speak with God, and feel the deepest kind of peace, joy, and contentment. There will be music and singers praising God. Perhaps there will be organizers for special events. Certainly, God, we can trust. will have plans for us.
There will be no pain, no fear, no responsibilities, no financial responsibilities, no regrets, only gladness that we have made it back home to heaven with our Father in heaven. The promise of heaven is not a given; Jesus died on the Cross to save us from sin. If we continue to sin without reconciliation and sincerely work toward a commitment not to sin again, we can forfeit God’s reward in heaven. Salvation is not unconditional! This is where we must use our free will wisely.
