Election Season
What If ? - Part 2
Submitted by Thomas Stidl
In part 1 of this article, I wrote about the Japanese theater of World War II. Now let us examine the European theater of World War II. Again the allied political leadership did not listen to the foresight of Winston Churchill about the 'Gathering Storm' in Europe at that time. Instead we had Neville Chamberlain meeting with Adolph Hitler. Mister Chamberlain came back with a piece of paper signed by himself and Hitler declaring “Peace in our Times”. For what that piece of paper was worth, it should have been added to the toilet paper stock!!
In order to curtail and stop aggression between the Allied European Nations and the Axis Nations, we would have needed heavy bombers and fighter planes placed in England and France to curtail German aggression. I also believe that General George S. Patton should have been given enough tanks to counter attack the German offensive. Yes, many lives might have been lost, but think of the other possibilities. There may have been no need for a Normandy invasion since our planes, tanks, and troops were already on the ground in Europe. The war would have come to a faster conclusion possibly preventing at least part of the Jewish Holocaust.
It is truly unfortunate that human beings must resort to war to settle our differences, but if honesty and sincerity do not prevail in negotiations, war will be inevitable. As for Iran, their main thrust was to say, “Death to Israel, Death to the United States”. I have already heard reports that Iran had ICBM missiles capable of hitting the major capitals of Europe such as Rome. Iran bragged during the peace negotiations that they had enough fissionable material to create many nuclear bombs. If given the chance to develop warheads for their ICBM missiles, Iran would have used these weapons to terrorize the entire Middle East and the entire world. The main thrust of their religious fanatical doctrines was to bring about the end of the world. What the United States and Israel accomplished basically saved many people from annihilation. It was a preventative action. I also wonder how anyone could ever negotiate with a government that systematically kills their population because of protesting their current regime. That represents tyranny, and that government which represents a cancer tumor among nations should be removed from the face of the earth or be forced to change their ways to be more caring of their population. Let the people of Iran breathe the fresh air of freedom of speech, press, the right to assemble, and religion as we have in this country. May God bring this military action quickly to an end where all parties have lasting peace for the entire world.
Until next time, Laus Tibi, Christe. Laus Deo. Deo Gratias. See you in
Paradise. Amen.
