Physical Presence
Simply sitting with a sick friend, family member, or neighbor provides companionship, as noted on Eucharistic Revival and The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community.
Practical Assistance
Offer to drive them to appointments, run errands, or shovel snow.
Support for Caregivers
Offer to sit with the sick person to give their primary caregiver a break.
Communication
Call, email, or send cards to those who are homebound. Even help someone get help during a mental crisis
Spiritual Support
Pray with them, read Scripture, or bring communion (if allowed).
