God Makes a Home for the Poor - Do You?
In the first reading today, we hear that man sees appearances, but the Lord looks into the heart and sees who a person really is.
We spend so much time on appearance in this life: clothes, beauty, hair, makeup, and even the appearances of our lifestyles: our home, our possessions, our careers and status, and how our lives look to others.
All that matters to others. But none of that really matters to God. Because the Lord looks at our hearts and not at our appearances.
Lent is a dedicated time for us to spend time on our hearts and less time on our appearances. Molding our hearts into the images and likeness of God through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
