Listen, and He will speak

     This morning, I asked God to speak to me. I told Him, I, His servant was listening. He told me not to listen to the chaos of the world. Only to His voice. That He joyfully sings to my heart. His voice drowned out the confusion. The noise. The thoughts of doom, that the world keeps pounding to my ears. He opened up that Peace that I sought, and when I looked at Him for comfort and assurance, He gave it to me. Oh how I love Him! 

  "The world, He said, is confusion". It pulls us so many different ways that the only thing to do, is to listen to Him. I tell Him, that I try so hard to see and to listen to Him, but the distractions of Life get in the way. He smiles in my heart. And then His voice pulls through with Comfort and Peace. He is like a drink of cool water to my lips on a dry and seething hot day. He is the cool breeze my face longs for, when the sun beats down so fiercely. I listen, and He speaks. Not just comforting words, but words of Hope and Love. Telling me that He is always by me. Always there for me. Assuring me that I am never ever alone. He leads me to His Peace. I can breathe again. Only this time, it's a breath of comfort. In the stillness of quiet, He is able to speak His words clearly to me. No noise surrounds me, except for His gentle, loving voice. He tells me that He sings to me joyfully. Repeating the words, "ask and you shall receive". Making me understand that what I ask for is what He longs to give me. His Peace and direction. Making me realize that what I ask for, He is willing to give. But He wants the benefit of my soul to be, not always my desires. Because as I reflect on my wants, they are not always those things that I realize later, would not have been so great for me. My Father, my God, does know the best! He allows me to ask, but then in His great Fatherly love and knowledge, grants me that which only would help me attain Heaven. 

     I ask, and then listen. He speaks. With words of Wisdom and Truth. The words that only a good and true Father can speak who truly loves His child. 

  The door opens in my heart. It hears only His voice. Keep speaking to your little lamb Lord, she is listening.
