What exactly did Our Lady of Fatima tell the Church through her seers at Fatima, Portugal in 1917, when WWI was raging?
Indeed, it's true! For your edification, here are just a few of the renowned cardinals in attendance at the Second Vatican Council, who knew & stated "in no uncertain terms"
that Pope Paul VI's Novus Ordo Missae (New Order Mass), was not in compliance with the stated intentions of the Council fathers for the renewal of the Mass, because it radically "Broke with Tradition" in regard to the liturgy that had been "safeguarded & celebrated" for centuries! Those cardinals would be, Cardinals Joseph Ratzinger, Alfredo Ottaviani, and Antonio Bacci - to name a few.
What did they have to say about the "New Order Mass" Pope Paul VI promulgated in 1969, whose principal author was Archbishop Annibale Bugnini, the Deputy-Secretary of the Sacred Congregation for Divine Worship, along with his core team of 6 prominent Protestant advisors who had their own "heretical ideas" about what should be the essence of the New Order Mass?
Before we review their commentaries, I would like to inform you of what Fr. Louis Bouyer, who played a significant role a Vatican II as a peritus for the liturgy, had to say about Archbishop Bugnini and the liturgical reforms initiated during the Council. His opinion on both deserves our greatest attention as Fr. Bouyer was appointed to the International Theological Commission and served as a consultant for the Congregation of Sacred Rites and the Secretariat for Christian Unity. That said, Fr. Bouyer came to "regret & repent" of his involvement in the work of liturgical reform. He was a vocal critic of the liturgical reforms, expressing his concerns about the "spirit of the Council" and the "deleterious impact" he was convinced it would have on the Church, which it did! Fr. Louis Bouyer later wrote "The Decomposition of Catholicism," which critiques the changes made during Vatican II and reflects his deep theological concern's regarding the Church's direction. With respect to his opinion of Annibale Bugnini, as he watched the "machinations" of Archbishop Bugnini, he came to the conclusion that the man was "as bereft of culture as he was of basic honesty."
This quote appears in his memoirs, where he reflects on Bugnini's serious "intellectual shortcomings" and his "lack of depth in understanding the Church's tradition," which Pope Paul VI was also "guilty of" according to Cardinals Joseph Ratzinger, Alfredo Ottaviani, Antonio Bacci, Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, Bishop Athanasius Schneider, and many other notable prelates familiar with Vatican II - and its mission to "oppose" the central authority of Rome and embrace a "Synodal Way" of governing the Church. This "synodal model" is obviously "risky" as it could & did "compromise" the Church's "doctrinal integrity" and "inclusivity," during the papacy of Pope Paul VI - as the aforementioned prelates "attest to!" Yes, regrettably Pope Paul VI was all too ready to jettison "theological orthodoxy" in the name of "aggiornamento" and "dialogue" with the world, in order to "modernize" the Church and her "doctrines & traditions" and make them "acceptable" to people of other religions, especially Protestants.
Last point before examining the critiques of Vatican II. A priest I know, Fr. Charles Theodore Murr, who lived in Rome for 7 years and worked at the Vatican as the secretary of then-Archbishop Edouard Gagnon, discloses in his book "Murder in the 33rd Degree/The Gagnon Investigation Into Vatican Freemasonary," that Cardinals Dino Staffa, Silvio Oddi and Archbishop Gagnon independently discovered, Archbishop Annibale Bugnini was an "active" Freemason during and following Vatican II, as was his close friend Cardinal Sebastiano Baggio, the Prefect of the Sacred Congregation for Bishops. Fr. Murr states in his book on pg. 25 "Annibale Bugnini's Masonic membership could certainly explain much that was going drastically wrong in the Church, liturgically, doctrinally, and morally." Unbeknown to most, Bugnini was the chosen "confidant & mentor" of Pope Paul VI. And having been apprised by Cardinals Staffa, Oddi, and Archbishop Gagnon that Bugnini was a high-ranking member of the French and Italian Masonic lodges, as was Cardinal Baggio, Pope Paul VI did "absolutely nothing!" No wonder the Church has been in "a state-of-emergency" ever since that "infamous" Council, that both Padre Pio and his dear friend Fr. Gabriele Amorth declaratively "rejected," especially the Novus Ordo Mass of the Mason, Bugnini, for obvious reasons!
Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger
"I can say with certainty, based on my knowledge of the conciliar debates and my repeated reading of the speeches made by the Council Fathers, that this [i.e., the reform as it is now in the new Missal] does not correspond to the intentions of the Second Vatican Council"
The new Missal's "publication was accompanied by a kind of prohibition of all that came before it, which is unheard-of in the history of ecclesiastical law and liturgy"
"The problem with the new Missal lies in its abandonment of an ever-continuous history, before and after St. Pius V, and in the creation of a thoroughly new book (albeit compiled of some old material)"
Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani & Cardinal Antonio Bacci
"The Novus Ordo Missae, considering the new elements widely susceptible to widely different interpretations which are implied or taken for granted, represents, both as a whole and in its details, a striking departure from the Catholic theology of the Mass as it was formulated in Session 22 of the Council of Trent. The 'canons' of the rite definitively fixed at that time erected an insurmountable barrier against any heresy which might attack the integrity of the Mystery." (Cardinals Ottaviani and Bacci, The Ottaviani Intervention)
"The pastoral reasons put forth to justify such a grave break, even if such reason could still hold good in the face of doctrinal considerations, do not seem sufficient. The innovations in the Novus Ordo and the fact that all that is of perennial value finds only a minor place, if it subsists at all, could well turn into a certainty the suspicion, already prevalent, alas, in many circles, that truths which have always been believed by the Christian people can be changed or ignored without infidelity to that sacred deposit of doctrine to which the Catholic faith is bound forever. The recent reforms have amply demonstrated that new changes in the liturgy could not be made without leading to complete bewilderment on the part of the faithful, who already show signs of restiveness and an indubitable lessening of their faith. Among the best of the clergy, the result is an agonizing crisis of conscience, numberless instances of which come to us daily." (Cardinals Ottaviani and Bacci, The Ottaviani Intervention)
Judgment on the Novus Ordo Missae by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre
"The Novus Ordo Missae, even when said with piety and respect for the liturgical rules, is impregnated with the spirit of Protestantism. It bears within it a poison harmful to the Faith." (Archbishop Lefebvre, An Open Letter to Confused Catholics)
Judgment on the Novus Ordo Missae by Bishop Athanasius Schneider
Bishop Schneider argues that the Mass most faithful to the Council was the Ordo Missae of 1965, and that the form later promulgated by Pope Paul VI—the Novus Ordo Missae—was substantially rejected by the first Synod of Bishops after the Council in 1967.
He disputes the interpretation of the bull Quo primum of St. Pius V, challenging its assertion that the restoration of the traditional Roman liturgy was merely a "concession," and disputes the idea that liturgical pluralism "freezes division" within the Church.
Fr. Gomer de Pauw, Professor of Theology & Doctor of Canon Law
Fr. Gomer was an "advisor" at the four sessions of Vatican II. Like Cardinals Ratzinger, Ottaviani, Bacci and others in attendance at the Second Vatican Council, Fr. Gomer "denounced" what Pope Paul VI did - after the Council - which was the implementation of his "theologically unorthodox" version of the "Aggiornamento Policy" for the Church, that the Council fathers had "voted against" - due to what they viewed as being replete with "Doctrinal Errors" and "heretical propositions!"
These critiques of Vatican II and the Novus Ordo Mass are reflective of what Atila Sinke Guimaraes documents in his book "In The Murky Waters Of Vatican II" first published in 1997 at a time no one dared to disagree "publicly" with the Council. Today everyone discusses its progressivist influence and marked "rupture" with Church tradition! To be sure, Vatican II broke with 2,000 years of venerable rites, customs, traditions and devotional practices that were "Centered on God" in exchange for an "Ecumenism & Liturgy" that was inextricably "Centered on Man!"
That explains why Pope Paul VI's Novus Ordo Mass appears as "Cleary a Meal" with an altar that looks like "a table," stripped of God's home, the Tabernacle versus the Mass Pope Paul wanted to radically "change," the Roman Rite that is "Clearly a Sacrifice," not "a Meal" as it is "Centered on God" in the Tabernacle, "Completely Catholic" with its proclamation of the "One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic" Church and not Pope Paul's "Communal/Synodal Mass."
The Roman Rite that was "swept aside" by Pope Paul VI - was "Codified after the Council of Trent" by a Canonized Pope (St. Pius V).
PLEASE NOTE: Pope Paul VI actually told an intimate friend of his, Jean Guitton, a prominent French philosopher & theologian, who Paul VI invited to be the only lay peritus at Vatican II - that it was his [Pope Paul's] intention to "reform" the Catholic liturgy in such a way that it should almost "coincide" with the Protestant liturgy. Yes, there was with Paul VI an "ecumenical intention" to remove, or at least to correct or relax, what he thought was "too Catholic," in the traditional sense, and I repeat, to get the Catholic Mass as close to the Calvinist Mass as possible!
There are many trustworthy sources that documented Pope Paul VI did in fact disclose to his best friend, Jean Guitton, his intentions of "Protestantizing" the Catholic Mass. Cardinal Alfonso Strickler was one such source.
In an article titled “The Attractiveness of the Tridentine Mass,” Cardinal Alfonso Stickler discusses the protestantizing of the Mass and mentions that Jean Guitton, a friend of Paul VI, said his purpose was to “assimilate as much as possible of the new Catholic liturgy to Protestant worship” (Latin Mass Magazine, Summer 1995). Then, to directly quote Mr. Guitton in Christian Order, October 1994.
The "Contrived" Novus Ordo Mass of Pope Paul VI, the Freemason Bugnini, and his six Protestant ministers who advised him how to make the Mass less Catholic has therefore a "Loose structure that virtually invites liturgical abuses," as has been seen "all too often" ever since Vatican II. I remember all the "Clown Masses" and other "Sacrilegious Masses" that were prevalent following Vatican II, while in the seminary with the SMA Fathers (Society of African Missions) from 1968-1975. Sadly, these types of "heretical" Novus Ordo Masses are in vogue now as they were in the 60's and 70's - in certain regions of the world today, such as Europe, Asia and the Philippines. However, these "grotesque Masses" are not confined to those sections of the world. They are becoming ubiquitous! Just open your eyes & "SEE!"
Let us pray for the "One, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic" Church, who has "lost her way" since Vatican II and leaving in its wake "confused Catholics, empty seminaries & convents, and massive defections!" In a word, the heritage of Vatican II is "BARREN!"
Sincerely in Jesus, Mary & Joseph, Larry Welch

Nota bene: The evidence against what Pope Paul VI did in "dismissing" the intentions of the vast majority of the Council fathers at Vatican II, in order to pursue his own "Progressivist intentions" is simply overwhelming!
Moreover, the evidence shows, that the apostasy from the Catholic Faith that we are witnessing in our day is no accident! It is the "direct result" of the Second Vatican Council's "departure" from the perennial Catholic Faith and everything that Council engendered, especially the "New Mass" of Pope Paul VI or should we say the "New Mass" of the Freemason, Archbishop Annibale Bugnini - that Saint Padre Pio "rejected" as did his close friend Fr. Gabriele Amorth. They were quite aware of Bugnini's "Masonic & diabolical disorientation" that was present as he and his team of Protestant ministers "manufactured" the "New Mass!"
We had been "WARNED" by Our Lady of Good Success and others about all the frightening "confusion, difficulties, distress & division" we would have to endure in the face of the "eclipse" of the holy Catholic Church by the "Modernist Vatican II Sect!"
