In the Gospel today, Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and do not be afraid.”
In our lives, we are asked to do the same. Sometimes God leads us up the mountain and asks us to rise to a new level spiritually or living the Gospel, and to not be afraid in the process.
We are becoming His beloved, in whom He is well-pleased.
Intimate friends of our Lord.
Transfigured in His image and likeness.
Bearers of light, love and hope to all who come into our lives.
Led from our homeland and comfort zone.
Blessed by God to be a blessing for others.
There will be some hardship along the way, but with God’s strength, there will be grace and joy too.
So rise. And do not be afraid. The path ahead is full of His amazing grace.
