Educate the bullies
Yes! I said Rejoice! It is a time to finally unite our sacrifices, our trials, our prayers and Thanksgiving to a man sent from Heaven. God's only Son named Jesus. Whose mission was to open the gates of Heaven that were once closed by the denial to honor and glorify the God who created them. To right the wrong of disobedience in the direction and rules of this great God because of their own pleasure and their own will.
Lent is not a time to lose weight or pridefully put claim to all the number of things that we are giving up for this short time of 40 days. It is a time to delve in thought and prayer and sacrifice of the remembrance of so many sins that had to be forgiven. So many sins, that it made our dear Jesus shed actual drops of blood in His Agony in the Garden. Of the torture that an innocent man had to endure because of lifetimes of greed and lust and terror to the soul caused by pride and murder and self.
Lent is our giving back with true contrition and repentance and sorrow for our own sins. It relieves Him of His sufferings that He so lovingly endured because of His love for us. So we wouldn't be lost and ramble aimlessly in a world that leads to perdition and evil if it weren't for this kind and generous and loving act that God allowed to happen.
We owe God everyday of our lives. Every breath that we take. Every beat of our heart. Not just for 40 days. Every day. 28,430 drops of blood was shed by our Jesus in His Holy Agony and Crucifixion. Placing His Holy Body in the hands of the evil of mankind to be whipped and scourged and spit upon. No greater sacrifice will there ever be!
In this Lent, let us ask for forgiveness of our sins and the sins of the whole world. Occurring daily, hourly, at every minute. To sooth the wounds and dry the blood that was shed for each and every one of us. Comforting our Jesus by contemplating this great act and walking the way of the cross with our Beloved Blessed Mother Mary, should be our only goal this Lent as we walk our way to the great Easter that awaits us. Rejoicing in our God who loved us so much to send His only Son to redeem us and forgive the Oh so many sins. Our God who loves us and forgives us still to this day.
Rejoice, Lent is here! Let this be the one that counts! The one that proves our love for our God who first loved us!
