Understanding God in a World of Mystical Turmoil.
As we thank God for what he’s given us; “That is all he asks of you and I.”
When we ponder how much we have received from God, it is the unseen gifts that our Lord has yet to hand us in the days ahead. Our questing minds might search the universe expecting to see a sign that says, “This much I ask of you; Receive the mercy I gave when I opened my arms and said this much I love you.”
To the poor we find mercy, to the sinner we see forgiveness. Question the rich; they have no need. Their wealth that became their god will be with them as their companion in death. It becomes a paradox when the poor man sits in the bosom of Abraham and the rich man sits and stares at the one whom he had to step aside on his pathway to count his money; that poor man could be one we know, or even ourself, begging in a way that this rich person now begs for mercy. It no longer is available for him.
For believers in Christ’s Passion there awaits our souls. As each person who admits he is a sinner; God acknowledges - with “This is my child!” To the many who have decided to walk the path to perdition, God reaches to gather them back before they fall off the road to certain eternal death.
He already sent his Son to be the one blessed answer that would save every sinner without payment or an IOU. The plan to save all of us was already in the works as the Holy Trinity established how the ransom that held humanity would crumble as the Cross on Calvary would hold the key to everlasting life for the sinners.
The Passion of Christ must be the very essence of God’s Love that should never wane from our thoughts and remain as our mantra for our souls’ redemption.
