Who will save Brazil?
Before we get started, please read my previous article, here; Let's get salty, and check out my latest Locals episode, here; How flirting is a sales pitch, and, as a reminder, I have written a book, if you're curious about that, you can go here; Elisabeth and the other man (paperback), and here, Elisabeth and the other man (ebook)
“Praise the LORD!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty firmament!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his exceeding greatness!
Praise him with timbrel and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that breathes praise the LORD!
Praise the Lord! (Psalm 150).
So, even though my reflective articles don't become popular as say this, this, or this (my most popular article, apparently), they are needed.
I'm not one of those chronically online people that lives on the interwebs.
Y'all may find this hard to believe, but, I do have a life that doesn't end in .com.
I'm an author, a musician, a friend, an uncle, a son, and, one day, I hope to be a husband and father.
So, let's get into the meat of the article (ironically, I'm a vegetarian).
Alright, not really a whole lot there. “Praise the LORD”! Is pretty self explanatory. Praise the LORD. Note it doesn't say “Only praise him when good things happen, no, it says “Praise the LORD”!
And then we come to this,
“Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his exceeding greatness”!
Hey man, it's not every day that rivers turn to blood, (Exodus 7:17-18), the LORD has indeed done great things for us (Psalm 126:3).
“Praise him with timbrel and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals! “
As someone who is musically inclined (although, not the greatest with percussion), I can say AMEN! Even if your music isn't explicit religious, don't forget who gave you that talent to begin with!
“Let everything that breathes praise the LORD!
Praise the Lord”!
And that's a good note to end on! Remember, all of God's creation is, in one way or another, a reflection of him.
Mankind is a special case, because we're created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27).
While all of creation reflects God's existence, man, being man in God's image, reflects God himself.
Now, it goes without saying that this does not mean we are of identical hardware to God. However, it is worth mentioning that we do have certain attributes that God has that other creations may not have.
