Our Mission is Love

Galatians 6:2 says, "Carry each other's burdens and you will fulfill the law of Christ." God did not create us to be alone. He called us to be around others. He does not intend for us to journey through the hardest times of our lives alone. He wants us to carry each other's burdens. He wants us to be there for others in their time of need.
There is something comforting about that person who is beside you during the hard times. Sure, Jesus is always with us, but it's not the same as having someone here who can carry your burdens with you. We all need people to do that. We need people to listen to us, to remind us of things, to care when it seems as if our world is crashing around us. We need that reminder of faith, and of love. We need to let others know they're not alone in whatever they may be going through. We need to do what Christ has called us to do and carry each other's burdens.
The question is, how we do that? How do we fulfill that law of Christ? It's pretty obvious when those we know most are going through a hard time. Try to understand, offer to listen, to ease their pain in whatever way possible. Feel for them, laugh with them, cry with them. Carry their burdens in the same way that you would want someone to carry yours.
