Kill or Drastically Amend Colorado House Bill HB26-1335
Psychological projection involves assigning your own unacceptable thoughts or motives onto others, revealing much about yourself (tinyurl.com/9psychtoday). Jill Filipovic claims “anti-abortion laws are misogynist (tinyurl.com/jillmisogyny).” Misogyny is defined as hatred or prejudice against women, especially by men. Facts destroy this claim. Women lead the pro-life movement: 2,775 faith-based pregnancy resource centers and 498 maternity homes, largely staffed by women, provide free services in the U.S. (tinyurl.com/lozierinstitute). Example: Birthline of Loveland has 5 female paid staff, 44 female volunteers, and 7 male volunteers. That’s 7 women for every man. Women are also more likely than men to support banning abortion after 20 weeks (41% vs. 33%) (tinyurl.com/illegal20). Medical data further undermines Filipovic’s claim. Unrestricted abortion poses more risks than pregnancy. A study of 866,000 mifepristone abortions found one in nine women suffered hemorrhage, sepsis, infection or other serious complications requiring Emergency Room (ER) care within 45 days (https://eppc.org/stop-harming-women/), totaling 96,000 ER visits that the abortion clinics did not pay for. In Colorado, 8% of abortions occur in the second trimester, where mortality risk more than two times higher than childbirth (tinyurl.com/2ndtribirths). Therefore, laws promoting abortion are misogynist. Filipovic ignores documented medical risks and instead projects a disregard for women’s health onto pro-life advocates who are helping women.
Gloria Steinem quips, “If men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament" (tinyurl.com/abortionsacrament). A sacrament is a sacred observance. But her words are nothing more than a throwaway laugh-line that is unverifiable. Steinem is so absorbed with unrestricted abortion that it’s become her own sacrament. 64% of women getting abortions face coercion (tinyurl.com/64coerced), often in sex trafficking. Later abortions, with risks greater than childbirth, could be avoided via safe Cesarean-section birth and adoption, with 36 couples trying to adopt per available domestic baby (tinyurl.com/36couples). Steinem’s projection of her own sacrament is dishonorable because its core action kills a developing baby.
Pro-abortion groups like New Era, COLOR, and COBALT say Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) is racist and “reminiscent of Eugenics” against people of color (tinyurl.com/eugenicsapr, timestamp 38:55). Despite Black women comprising only 13% of the population, their abortion rate is 42% (tinyurl.com/13vs42percent). For developing babies’ lives, APR saves 68% (hi-dose oral progesterone) to 92% (6 or more intramuscular injections– tinyurl.com/aprdelgado). It is projection to claim APR is Eugenics since abortion rates show that promoting abortion is Eugenics against people of color.
State Attorneys General (AGs) claim without evidence that APR is dangerous. Amazingly, actual data reveal that the birth defect risk for women who have reversed mifepristone abortions is no higher than the risk in the general population (tinyurl.com/aprdelgado). Despite this, 16 AGs signed an open letter attacking pregnancy resource centers. Colorado and New York sued pregnancy resource centers over APR; Colorado's ban was overturned in 2025, with the state paying $6.1 million to the pregnancy resource center plaintiffs (Castle Rock Women’s Health and Bella Health-&-Wellness -- see tinyurl.com/bellahealth). A federal appeals court upheld New York pregnancy resource centers’ right to inform about APR. As of July 2025, over 7,000 babies' lives were saved by APR (tinyurl.com/7000aprbabies). The Attorneys General project their own actions that harm women onto those actually helping.
Democrats in leadership display extremism rarely supported by most Americans: they insist on abortion through all 40 weeks of pregnancy and in Colorado, refuse to permit informed consent about APR information for pregnant women. Informed consent, as required by medical ethics and law, requires a complete explanation of treatment options before a procedure is performed. You can change your mind at any time — even after giving consent. Women should have the choice to reverse an abortion after taking mifepristone. Pro-life and pro-choice people can agree that freedom of choice means just that…CHOICE! And that includes allowing women information and access to abortion pill reversal.
Call to action: When you hear accusations of misogyny, racism, or “abortion pill reversal is dangerous”, recognize that’s classic projection. State Legislative sessions begin this month. Be prepared to promote informed consent and women’s safety as we learn about 2026 bills and come back to you with requests to contact Legislators.
