To the Ends of the Earth: Legacy – Catholic Men's Devotionals, Week 7 – Do Not Fret
Here is a new contemporary hymn celebrating the One who came as a baby to bring the dawn of our salvation.
From the album, “Our Holy Infant King,” a collection of 10 original contemporary Christian Christmas songs, celebrating the wonder and joy of the Incarnation and the power of the Son of God who took on flesh to save us from our sins!
The Christmas Memory Tree
Falling Christmas snow outside my window,
Covering the earth so pure and white.
Fire glowing in the hearth so brightly,
Warming now my heart this quiet night.
Vintage clock is chiming in the corner,
Sounding out the minutes and the hour.
Christmas greens lay all around the mantle,
All uphold me with their gentle pow’r.
But the crowning jewel of the season,
Standing tall, the old familiar tree.
Precious trinkets on each branch extended,
Signs of faith and love and family.
Lights and tinsel shimmer in the darkness,
Ornaments that hold each memory.
Celebrating this our saving story,
Of the One who came to set us free.
How my heart is sweetly torn asunder,
Now beholding ev’ry joy and wonder.
More than just a yearly celebration,
Christmas fills my heart with great elation.
For Christmas comes as a reminder of his goodness,
The infant child who came to dwell among the lost.
Who lived among us as a man,
To carry out the Father’s plan,
And, in the end, his life to pay the greatest cost.
A sign of everlasting love from God the Father,
A truth revealed in ev’ry treasure that I see.
The story of our Savior’s birth,
His coming here upon the earth,
In this the journey of our Christmas memory tree.
Manger scenes adorn our sacred spaces,
Tell the story of the baby’s birth.
Shepherds, flocks of sheep, and holy Maj-eye
Show his awesome majesty and worth.
Hallowed hymns and Christmas songs surround us,
Stir our souls in love to praise and sing.
Call to mind the glory of the season,
With the recollections that they bring.
How my heart is sweetly torn asunder,
Now beholding ev’ry joy and wonder.
More than just a yearly celebration,
Christmas fills my heart with great elation.
For Christmas comes as a reminder of his goodness,
The infant child who came to dwell among the lost.
Who lived among us as a man,
To carry out the Father’s plan,
And, in the end, his life to pay the greatest cost.
A sign of everlasting love from God the Father,
A truth revealed in ev’ry treasure that I see.
The story of our Savior’s birth,
His coming here upon the earth,
In this the journey of our Christmas memory tree.
Angel rests atop the tree,
Sign of Heaven’s sweet decree.
Pure encounter with the Son,
Who came to the earth, the vict’ry won.
How my heart is sweetly torn asunder,
Now beholding ev’ry joy and wonder.
More than just a yearly celebration,
Christmas fills my heart with great elation.
For Christmas comes as a reminder of his goodness,
The infant child who came to dwell among the lost.
Who lived among us as a man,
To carry out the Father’s plan,
And, in the end, his life to pay the greatest cost.
A sign of everlasting love from God the Father,
A truth revealed in ev’ry treasure that I see.
The story of our Savior’s birth,
His coming here upon the earth,
In this the journey of our Christmas memory tree.
