A new year; a new concern regarding our faith!

Is this any way to begin a new year when everything in this country appears to be improving?  The news shows that AI is on the rise and for many that means to just allow this newest robotic influence to be our guide.  As with all unknown or mysterious entities the bible teaches us that God has a reason for placing us on hold when we use accepted forces that are not from him.  

Let there not be found among you anyone who immolates his son or daughter in the fire, nor a fortune-teller, soothsayer, charmer, diviner, or caster of spells, nor one who consults ghosts and spirits or seeks oracles from the dead.  Anyone who does such things is an abomination to the Lord, and because of such abominations the Lord, your God, is driving these nations out of your way.  (Dt 18: 10 - 12).

Of course many intellectuals will tell us that this is the newest and thought provoking medium that will make life much better.  And it is almost like the Lord, our God, is sitting at a round table with the giants of intervention to be the guides of how to do everything possible without a virtue of faith in God.  Wait, what about the Lord’s presence at the same table?  This god is not the God of the bible but a pseudo image the promoters of AI have dreamed up for Christians who are stepping lightly on this newest influx of mind control.  

Already we have seen where many people of renown have had their very images used to spread false thoughts and it will get worse. 

There may be some good that AI will promote but we must take its suggestive guidance with a grain of salt, so to speak, and test its final outcome.  If we are not careful our decisions may not be in the best interests without testing the promised results for fraud or sacrilegious purposes.  If Joseph, the step-father of Jesus, had sought out a medium regarding the angel’s guidance to take Mary and the child to Egypt until he would tell them when it is safe to return, what kind of protection would there have been for the Son of God?  

I know, there will be some or many upon reading my article who will say, “This writer must be living in the past before modern science became stable.”  Well, perhaps we need more prophets that hold up a stop sign that tells us that God is still the first voice we must listen to before selling our souls and the souls of our readers for a premise like AI without the trust of God, first.  

Be assured, there always are those who question the benefits of new thoughts that have not yet been proven.  However, there will always be infiltrators who will find ways to take something new and find a way to steal the possibility of the good that new entities will produc
