To the Ends of the Earth: Action – Week 2, Day 5 – We Can Look Deeply into God's Perfect Law and Be Set Free to Love
Here is a new contemporary Christmas hymn, shouting the brilliance of heaven bursting upon the earthly stage, a celebration of the birth of Jesus in a song of praise!
From the album, “We Have Seen the Dawning Light,” a collection of 10 soulful contemporary Christian Christmas melodies. These songs are Incarnational poetry, giving praise to the Savior who has loved us to the full and saved us from our sins!
We Have Seen the Dawning Light
Lonely hour of deep despair,
Angels hover in the air.
Rend the sky, reveal the sign,
Of God’s glorious design.
In the darkened night a star.
Men who travel from afar.
Seek the King who comes to earth,
Here to celebrate his birth.
We have seen the dawning light,
Hope dispels the darkest night.
With our lives we now draw near,
No more sorrow, grief, or fear.
Spirit’s wisdom ever leads,
For our souls his grace proceeds.
With the Wisemen gifts we bring,
To Messiah, infant King.
Joined in cause the men so wise
Follow star in distant skies
Search the word to find the trace,
He who now redeems our race.
Now to Judah they ascend,
Holy hour to now attend.
To the baby they are led,
Bread of Life in House of Bread.
We have seen the dawning light,
Hope dispels the darkest night.
With our lives we now draw near,
No more sorrow, grief, or fear.
Spirit’s wisdom ever leads,
For our souls his grace proceeds.
With the Wisemen gifts we bring,
To Messiah, infant King.
Wisemen offer gifts so pure,
Gold and Frankincense and myrrh.
Lay them at the new King’s feet.
Signs of glory, sin’s defeat.
Jealous king in madd’ning rage,
Looks to word on holy page,
Seeks the life of blessed child,
Holy family now exiled.
We have seen the dawning light,
Hope dispels the darkest night.
With our lives we now draw near,
No more sorrow, grief, or fear.
Spirit’s wisdom ever leads,
For our souls his grace proceeds.
With the Wisemen gifts we bring,
To Messiah, infant King.
We behold the child so dear,
Wisdom born as God the Son,
With his rising we draw near.
To the vict’ry he has won.
Let us now behold the light,
See the child who sleeps in hay,
Love has pierced the gloom of night.
Walks along the narrow way.
Father in my heart reflect,
Love that you in grace protect.
Let me rise when night is done,
Give my life now to the Son.
Wisemen came to greet the King,
With the angels, now I sing.
And with humble heart bow low,
So that I in grace may grow.
We have seen the dawning light,
Hope dispels the darkest night.
With our lives we now draw near,
No more sorrow, grief, or fear.
Spirit’s wisdom ever leads,
For our souls his grace proceeds.
With the Wisemen gifts we bring,
To Messiah, infant King.
