Don't touch that dial!

     Sometimes you turn on the radio and there, playing, is a song with words you just needed to hear at that moment. Or maybe, your browsing for a good book to read and it seems one is placed right in your hands. God is with us always. His gentle little insinuations are subtle and gentle and if you're not patient, they can be lost in the blink of an eye. Don't touch that dial! He's trying to inspire you. Listen with open Heart and open Soul as you search for discernment and answers. He is watching. He is listening. He doesn't want us to stumble. But "we" must be watchful also. I think that's really what they're saying, in the adage, "God helps those who help themselves". He's not asking us to walk the plank blindfolded, but to take His hand and let Him lead us. Helping ourselves to His portion. His Fatherliness. Allowing Him to show us the way.

     Haven't you ever been inspired or felt a "Peace" from something that the Priest has said in his sermon? Even a child can relate God's message if we listen close enough. Don't be in a hurry. Good things come to those who wait. Wait with surrender. Wait in child likeness. 

     Our good Father is just that. A good and loving Father. Who awaits our arrival with open arms. Waiting to say, "you did well my true and faithful servant, enter now into the Kingdom of God."
