Snow and Stars
Last night I saw Orion battle Taurus again,
Pulled back his arrow,
And readied to live…
The floating feet of the Geminids upon his head.
Billions of snowflakes fly to the ground.
For all the great rush of the white crystals,
The palace of innocence toiled for in the storm,
Billions of stars fade away in their dance,
Waltzing with grace and dipping with magnificence.
God, who gifts space with their movements,
Lets the snow watch and mirror.
Admiring and Obstinate,
Snow descended to try,
But for all the beauty of its spins and steps,
The snow child could never best its teacher.
Love and Courage
Made it worth the while.
And so I watch…
Then steady myself straight.
I pull out my bow and arrow,
The floating feet of the snow upon my head.
~
Last night we saw Dust battle Darkness again,
Pulled back his arrow,
And readied to live…
The floating feet of the snow children upon his head.
