Repent

Christmas is about the Messiah who came to live among us. The Messiah was prophesized in the Old Testament and came to pass in the story of Christmas. “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14). Our Lord was anticipated long before he arrived and Christmas should be a reminder of this glorious fact. “...there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger...” (Luke 2:6-7). Imagine the anticipation of our Lord’s birth! The King of Kings was getting ready to make an entrance into the world to bring salvation to all! When My God, Lord and Savior did arrive He walked among man kind healing and preaching the Word of God. He was a simple and yet an influential Man. He comforted the brokenhearted, healed the crippled, the blind, those with leprosy and many more. But most striking was that Christ was born to die. Christ would be the atonement of our sins. When He was arrested, He was tormented, tortured and then brutally killed. However, death could not hold our Lord and He rose from the dead conquering it once and for all!
My Savior offered me salvation and I anxiously accepted when I learned of it. I am a sinner and without God I am lost. This Christmas, I want to be thankful for the simple things like the fact that I am promised eternity, because my Christ died for me (and for you.) Christ is my living promise for a better tomorrow. “He promises that if I abide in Him and He in me that He will give me the desires of my heart” - what more could I possibly ask for this Christmas?! (John 15:7) The Messiah was born to save and all He wants for Christmas is your heart. Give Him your heart and life and I promise you will never regret your decision. Being saved has been one of the greater blessings in my life. Being saved means that I live in the “shelter of the most high and abide in the shadow of the almighty” (Ps 91:1). Christ is my very own and my heart soars in Him and His promises of eternity. Our Savior is available to one and all and this Christmas is an excellent time to “confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation,” (Rom. 10:9-10)
Make my God, my Lord and Savior your own, He is full of promises and has an amazing plan in store for you. May God bless you this Christmas!!
